Shameless post alert!!!!!!!! ;D ;D
Our local club is running a draw for 2 All Ireland football final tickets.
Tickets are priced £2 each or £5 for a book of 5.
If anyone would like to enter the draw, you can email me youre details to clannnabanna@hotmail.co.uk and I will post the required amount out to you.
Payment can be made through Paypal to clannnabanna@hotmail.co.uk
As I said shameless post but if you dont ask you dont get!!!!!!!! :P :P
I recall last year someone posted a breakdown of how AIF tickets are allocated, with details of how many go to where etc. Could someone post this up again if possible?
I cant blame clubs for this as every radio station business and sponsor will be advertising and selling tickets off their application, it dosent seem right though.
No harm whatsoever if the tickets being raffled are from the ten-year ticket scheme - as I understand it, these were marketed by the GAA to clubs on the basis that they could be raffled to raise funds.
If it's Kerry v Cork there'll be no problem getting tickets. It mightn't even be a full house.
Regular guest Joe Brolly will be joined this year by fellow Derry man and Antrim Football Manager Liam Bradley,
Armagh's Oisin Mc Conville,Radio Ulster's Lynnette Fay,Tyrone's Ryan Mc Menamin and Cork's All-Ireland Hurling winning Captain in 1990,RTE Hurling analyst Tomás Mulcahy.
Throw-in @ 8.30pm and MC for the event will be Jerome Quinn.
Tickets £10 to include entry to a draw for two All-Ireland Hurling Final tickets and two All-Ireland Football Final tickets

Like every other final it would/will be a full house. Will be a lot of expectation in Cork now and they will bring a large crowd. While Armagh v Down/Mayo will also attract a larger than normal crowd for the minor final.
This is the only game I seem to have a problem getting tickets. Despite getting one eventually it'd be nicer to know you have one a week in advance and you could concentrate more on the game itself then rather than worrying if you'll get a ticket or not!

What are they throwing in?
Lol, good idea, was coming on to post the exact same thing!!!
I'll only go if Sidebottom's going.
can you not get child tickets for the final?
Of course you can - they cost €70 as well though... ;)
My search for tiickets for the Football final has proven to be fruitless so far. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of where I could acquire some tickets?
Thanks in advance.
My advice is to relax and don't panic. I have been to both hurling and football finals every year for the past 6/7 years and there is always plenty of tickets about the day before and the morning of the game. I have yet to meet a genuine fan who has ever failed to get a ticket for an all ireland....

Sorry to sound cheeky again, but for a county that's in a senior AIF (Maurice is from Kerry), I'd say if you were an active member of a club, it would be your best chance to get a ticket.
But I can see why you can't get one too easily in Mayo :P
(grumpy indeed today)

I MIGHT have 2 hurling tickets available tomorow - would swap for football tickets or face value obviously - any potential takers?
Have sent you a PM.
I have a friend who has 2 pairs of tickets for the hurling who would like to swap for football tickets.
Lower Cusack 302 and Lower Hogan 326.
PM me if interested and I can put you onto him.
Thanks for your advice lads,
So if your not an active member of your club, its looks like only other option open is to chance it on the day.... :/
Thanks again
i know the football final is usually harder to get tickets for but on sunday i had a spare hurling ticket, and i was trying to sell it when a tout approached me offering 15 euro, told him to go f**k himself, ended up taking the ticket home, there were a serious amount of tickets about and maybe not to the same extent but i expect plenty to be available for the football.

A good kick in the stones is what he needed instead. ;)

Tout Tumbled
Donegal fans watched in stunned disbelief as two Armagh supporters
tripped up a ticket tout outside the Gresham Hotel on Saturday night
and made off with his tickets.
The fans were dressed in the colours of Armagh and aged well into their
40s. At first they appeared to hand the tout money and accept tickets:
after a brief flurry of words between both parties the tout was pushed to
the ground and robbed.
Experienced All Ireland Final attenders said the tickets were scarcer than
they have ever known on the morning of a game. Still they were available
and this reporter met several people who acquired them at face value
up to two hours before the game. The touts, however were not shy to
quote their price list if asked.
The throw-in was just a matter of minutes away when one asked for
£70 for Hogan Stand tickets, £50 for the Cusack Stand and £40 each
for the Canal and Hill 16 ends.
Any Donegal fan with a ticket for the Dublin enclave on Hill 16 need not
have worried. There was a healthy swopping arrangement. One West Donegal
voice called out on Jones's Road: "Canal End for Hill swop." Within seconds
he was surrounded by five blue clad Dublin fans eager to take up the offer.
Some Donegal supporters did find their way into the Hill and afterwards
were none the worse for their experience. Likewise the occasional blue
flag of Dublin was seen to flutter in a stunning sea of orange, green and
gold at the Canal End.

I like it. Those were the days. No health and safety back then. ;)
Could you imagine the bouncers keeping the Donegal fans off the pitch that day ?

nearly did one year and was nearly lifted by a guard ::)
Never saw one tout on Sunday, probably because there were so many tickets available at face value and also plenty of €70 tickets for €50.

I wasn't that far up, well I hope nobody was stupid enough to give them any business. On the other side of Quinns past the bookies there were about 10 different people trying to shift good tickets for €50.

aye there were serious amount of people just wanting to get rid of tickets at face value or less, thats why i was surprised the tout even offered me money.i think the football could be a similar situation, with kerry and cork cant see as many neutrals being interested in going

I think it has the makings of a great match and the atmosphere should be unreal. I know quite a few who hope to go to it. I think they're expecting the odd schemozzle. ;)

i go to the final every year no matter who plays and i agree with you i think this could be a intriguing match,i am just going by a few men i have talked 2 over this past few weeks who like myself go to the final no matter the teams and they say there not going, this is by no means a exact way of judging who will or wont go and i could be totally wrong it's just my gut feeling.

Touts are scum, but would it not have been better to get €15 and let the tout risk getting burnt?

could you not walk into a pub , see someone wearing colours and offer it to them ?
Just got a call from a friend of mine back from the states to watch the game. Looking for a ticket and his source couldnt deliver on the ticket promised a week ago.
Any spares greatly appreciated
thanks
LB
Should be plenty of spares floating about tomorrow. I've been offered three tickets since yesterday evening and I've already got two spares that I'm giving to friends of mine from Kerry tomorrow.
