Ok. Its lunchtime and you are a little hungry, what would you make for yourself?
a favourite of mine is toast with cheese and tomato, topped off with pepper. Great.
fillet steak with chips, peas. mushrooms and onion rings
1. Toasted ham, chorizo and cheese sandwich
2. Stir fry chicken/mushroom/peppers/onion, add to pasta with coconut cream and a dash of wine
Some form of stuffed pasta with jamie oliver spicy pasta sauce, tasty & quick
Pasta, sweet chilli sauce and grated cheese.
Scrambled eggs and a bit of black pepper and red sause and Nutty crust toast.
Brown sauce sandwich. No meat or salad. Just a hape of HP. White bread. Washed down with Irn Bru.
That reminds me of me brother he used to eat that and drink iron bru - yuk
Dairylea spreadable cheese and Tayto cheese and onion sandwich. Washed down with Lucozade.

thats not too bad at all.
Does anyone know is it possible to get the glass bottle lucozade? tasted much better than the plastic bottle stuff
When I was wee I used to eat sugar sandwiches, or peas in a cup (A cup of mushy peas with butter and vinegar over them).
Yes, I remember sugar sandwiches.
I had a brother who would eat his annual sandwich - he'd raid the cupboards and put a bit of everything there into it - lentils, sugar, salt, rice, ham, egg, beetroot, salad cream......
He's now a ladyboy in Kildress.

Some pubs only do the plastic bottles...i take it they must be cheaper than the smaller glass bottles in wholesalers.
I might head down to makro to buy a few bottles, cheers.

fry some chicken. when the chicken is ready grate some cheese throw it into the doritos salsa chips dip and then lump the 2 onto the chicken. when the sauce is warm you are sorted. fcukin mighty gear. serve with some oven chips/fries and your landed.
Dinner.........................done!
Some of you are ripping it with the quickness of these meals, I think Fred is talking instant here...
If I needed something instant I normally just have toast with loads marmalade and a glass of milk.
Scrambled egg is good for a quick fix also.
Agree ONL,
Some of these arent quick at all
Best IMHO is poached eggs & toast - less than 3 mins
Triple decker Walkers Cheese and Onion crisp sandwich on thick sliced Kingsmill white bread with butter. Glass of milk.

Gordon Ramsay-esque there HWAH.
What would you specify as quick Nailed On?
If you have 5 minutes or so, its hard to beat a few poached eggs with some wheaten bread.
If you have 10 minutes or so, pasta with bacon and some of the stir in sauces is the way to go.
Take some chicken and pour red sauce on. Distribute sauce evenly with an upside down spoon taking care not to leave any extra red sauce on the spoon. Turn spoon 180 degrees and eat chicken with spoon. Named red chicken by the perma drunk student who created it.

Was telling my Welsh brother-in-law about this on Saturday. Between this and potato puddin', he doesn't think we're too wise on this side of the Irish Sea.

That's the best one. - It's making me crave a crisp sandwich.
What's also really nice, I've been eating a lot of lately - those baguettes you bake in the oven yourself, only takes 5-10 minutes to bake, yum with a ham tomotoe and cheese.
I'm fascinated with this sugar sandwich idea which seems to have been prevalent in the oul daze- how much sugar are we talking here? Say for 2 white medium slices would you talking 3/4 tablespoons or wha? More sugar than that would send a kid haywire surely.
For a quick feed- fried egg and 2 slices of bacon on white bread with a lock of red sauce
Twas just a light covering of sugar over the butter on both sides.
I'm on a real Humous kick at the moment. Handy as frig to make if you have a blender and lovely with baked crisps, pitta bread or naan bread.
Plain or mixed with some jalapenos for a bit of a kick
cheap as hell too
Not the healthiest but quick and OK for a wee treat now and again....sounds boggin to but dont knock it till you've tried it.
Wee knob of butter in a saucepan, whack in a tin of beans, large dollop of brown sauce, two or three slices of freshly cut cooked ham finely chopped and finally a handful of mature grated cheddar. Put it all together in the saucepan.......heat until the cheese is melted, mix well and dump most of it onto a couple of slices of hot buttered nutty crust or if thats not available a soda...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

f**king animals in Down!
Fellas I used to live with in Belfast had some strange ones. Pasta with tuna and salad cream was one and another was a Fray Bentos mince pie cooked in the oven. When it was cooked take the pastry lid off and pour over a tin of beans before putting the lid back on!
I'm partial to an auld chili chicken wrap at the minute with lettuce, chicken, mayo, tomato and some chili sauce. Tasty. In a real hurry a crisp piece.
I forgot to say above, I'm a BIG fan of bread and jam (blackcurrent without the bits!)
Yum.

Jaysus Tony if you think thats bad I used share a house with a boy from Lurgan who ate pizza sandwiches.......a slice of (usually cold from the night before) pizza between two slices of bread......dog :-\
quick sandwich with roast beef, cheddar, horseradish mayo and jalapenos. Wash her down with a 7up and burp all afternoon.
perogies - boil them for 5 minutes - and off ye go
Try a cheese and strawberry jam sandwich, does not sound good but is delicious. Seriously try it, u will be pleasantly surprised.
used to be partial to tin of tomato soup and mix in a tin of tuna. great stuff. a friend of mine and myself, while students, used to mix the oul irish potato and the country vegetable soup mixes together and make that with a bita bread. it was great.
How rice pudding and a bit of ice cream in it is also nice.
Soda bread with a chunk of cheddar and honey.... Delish
Another 1 for you to try.
A baked potato with Cesear salad, grated cheese, rosemary and red onion. ( with a sprinkle of vinegarette)
very tasty indeed.
Definitely has to be a banana sandwich (with a bit of sugar sprinkled on the banana)
havn't had one in ages mind. must sort that out

Please don't say delish.
I think "delish" is acceptable if said as a piss take.

It's a Loughshore Delicacy.
It's definately most popular in areas of high-density inbreds like Kilkeel. I wonder is a study has ever been commissioned?
Baked beans on toast or Banana sandwiches will do me.
Bowl of Corn Flakes also does the job.
Toasted Veda with peanut butter, banana & branston. Never thought I;d like it was recommended by the maitre d' in a Michelin star restaurant.
Anyone tried the strawberries and balsamic vinegar, supposed to be lovely but can't say I've tried it?
I love these lads that come on, describe something absolutely rank, tell us they know it sounds rank but to try it anyway. Its sounds rank cause it is rank! How about a nice brown bread sandwich with a chunk of house manure thrown in, with a whin bush as garnish. Sounds rank but its delish
suprised no one has said it.

You should have stopped at banana.
Peel a full onion and put it in the water with super noodles(mild curry preferably).
Cook
When the super noodles are cooked your onion will also be cooked with the flavor of the super noodles...
Enjoy!
