Local issues me arse. And neither is it to do with the "hard decisions we had to take"...no matter who is in will have to take unpalatable decisions.
It's all to do with the way they let the best economy in Europe in the early years of this Century be ruined by greedy bankers/developers etc.
Instead of doing anything to try and stop the property madness in the interests of the common good they became cheerleaders for builders and bankers as they invented tax designation after tax designation.
In the end the only money being put into anything in this State was being put into buying land at about 5 times its value and building houses nobody needed and selling them at 3 times their value.
And to ensure we went totally bottom up they made Mary effin Coughlan Tánaiste.... :'( :'(
