Places Time has Forgotten

Yesterday I toured two places that I had never been in before Galbally and Cappagh in Tyrone.  They are less than 20 miles from where I live.  Galbally struck me as a dynamic place, super Community Centre and a Chinese takeaway!
Cappagh on the other hand was like a place from the 50's, it seems to be stuck in time with a lot of run down houses and shops.  I have to say that this was a cursory inspection as it was lashing at the time and I probably am being unfair to the place.
We used to say that Blackwatertown (Portmor) in Armagh was another place time had left behind, however recent developments have helped improve it considerably.
I was wondering if there are other villages in the country that would fit this description?

Would a place that time has forgotten not be forever ageless rather than appearing dated?

Omeath, other than a new petrol station, the village itself hasnt changed much in my lifetime. Still looks like the 1950s and some of the tat on sale in Mulligans shop has probably been on the shelves since then.

Are you forgetting about the great Bunker??

Rathfriland has always struck me as place in a timewarp. Newtownhamilton is another.
