Another phony Democrat exposed yesterday Sheldon whitehouse and family all members of a whites only beach  club in Rhode Island , another story to be swept under the carpet.

That's funny.

I just googled Whitehouse, and the three stories at the top of the page were from NBC, CBS and USA Today. Go to the google news tab and a Washington Post story joins them.

Very local, low-exposure media outlets there.

Poor victim Gmac.
im not a victim the suckers voting for this guy are , Iím sure he portrays himself as a progressive , a champion of blm and lgbtq and an enemy of white supremacy the most dangerous threat to America .so if heís a phony about this what else is he lying about and you can add the Democrats to that also . 1984 ,the racists are in charge of the anti racism policy.

I never said Trump supporters didnít attack people but you implied that Republicans would be able safely campaign in hardcore minority inner city neighborhoods

Thatís simply untrue

I didn't imply. I said straight out there's no reason they couldn't do so.

If security is a concern, you take steps to protect the candidate and staff.

By your logic, Biden can't campaign in the suburbs of Minneapolis because some header took a golf club to beat up an old couple.

I can only imagine the conniptions Fox News and the rest would be going through if they somehow thought that there were no-go areas for Republican candidates! They're drumming up the mouth breathers with critical race theory, trans people and stop the steal. What would they doing if they had an actual legitimate grievance??

Lol-no reason they couldnít do so. Maybe the fact theyíd get killed or seriously assaulted would be a good place to start

Any chance of a coherent, intelligent argument?

Why are they suckers?

For holding their nose and overlooking this rich child of privilege's personal hypocrisy and looking instead at his voting record and positions?

Is that better or worse than voting for another rich child of privilege who both preached AND put into practice the shadier parts of his personal views and life like Trump did?

Is that better or worse than the majority of Republican senators and, to a lesser extent, congress people, who publicly supported Trump and his rhetoric and conduct, while privately confiding to journalists across the board that he was a sc**bag and they'd much rather he didn't have the support of the GOP base?

Apparently this guy has been trying to sidestep his membership of this hyper-exclusive club since 2006. I suspect that this particular resurfacing of the story will force him to face his hypocrisy.

So we're back to whitey's standard proof by anecdote.

As you say yourself, believe what you want. This is a waste of time.

Who believes in open borders?

But leaving that aside for a minute, are you saying you're opposed to people being appointed to run agencies and departments when they're personally opposed to the mission of those departments? You don't like "foxes guarding henhouses" as such?

If so, how did you reconcile Trump (and even Bush/Cheney going back) filling the leadership of agencies with responsibility for the environment, worker safety, consumer protection and so on with industry lobbyists and insiders who were vehemently opposed to what those agencies are supposed to do on behalf of the people.

You have a laugh at how conservatives have to throw around nicknames and make boogeymen out of someone like the mayor of Chicago whose policies and influence have zero impact on their lives thousands of miles away. Pathetic little mites.

Their crocodile tears for the poor suffering people of Chicago are less than convincing too, aren't they?

Conservatives: "Poor people have got themselves into their own mess and need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps!"
Also conservatives: "Won't someone think of the poor people in Chicago!"

Interesting read from The Atlantic on police unions and how they make it nigh impossible to oust the "bad apples" from the force.

Great piece.

So many of these police unions are led by reactionary, right wing dirtbags. No cop can be criticized or held accountable. Its always the victim's fault. Any attempt to hold them accountable will result in threats of slow-downs and apocalyptic rhetoric against any politician or person who dares to stick their head above the parapet.

Public safety was a big issue in this week's Democtratic mayoral and city council primary elections here in NY. Personally, I voted for Eric Adams, an ex-NYPD captain, who doesn't want to defund the police, but as a police victim himself while a kid, and a reformer during his service, also wants to introduce overdue reforms. I was going to give my vote to our local councilman, Bob Holden, as I felt it was no harm to have a contrary voice in the council amidst all the newly minted very progressive councilors to be elected in other parts of the borough and city, but his high profile events and photo-ops with police union thug chief Pat Lynch meant I just couldn't stomach giving my vote to him (he was going to be elected anyway).

Have a read of the Wall St. Jl. op ed linked in that piece, J70.  It's written by a police officer.  An eye opener.
