United are the first ever team to keep six away clean sheets in a single CL season, only one CL away defeat in 4 years & on the verge 3 finals in 4 years.. so i think United have already proved how good they are..obviously a CL trophy could be the cherry on top.

That's just meaningless tabloid tripe. Arsenal kept 5 clean sheets away from home in 2006 but that means nothing when your keeper is sent off after 10 mins in the final. All those stats mean fcuk all unless you win the thing. If Arsenal had gone through the 03/04 league season unbeaten but still didn't win the thing it meant sweet FA.

Not sure about the clean sheet thing myself, however if true that away record is pretty impressive & i think it shows for the first time in a few years we'll have the best two sides in Europe in the final.

Speaking of tabloid tripe, i read today Messi has never scored on English soil, All set up for him to score a hat-trick in the final i feel.

Mourinho's post match comments

"Mourinho said a conspiracy between Barcelona and UEFA must exist after the Catalan club came out with a favourable referee decision for the third straight semifinal.

"Every semifinal the same thing always happens. Why? I'll live my whole life with this question but I hope one day to get the answer," Mourinho said. "Why could Chelsea not get to the final two years ago? Last year to get to the final with Inter was a miracle. Why again in this game?"

Guardiola led Barcelona to the 2009 trophy after getting past Chelsea, which had an injury-time penalty claim for a handball waved away. Inter eliminated Barcelona last year despite playing for over an hour with 10 men.

"I don't understand. I don't know if it's publicity for (sponsor) UNICEF or (FIFA and UEFA head of referees committee Angel) Villar's influence in UEFA. They have the power and no one else has a chance."

You can't hide it. Inside (the Catalans) are laughing and enjoying this thinking we're going to (the final at) Wembley. But to win this way must leave a bad taste.

I've won two Champions Leagues and I won them both on the field and they were with two clubs. We won with work, effort, sweat, fight and with a lot of work. Josep Guardiola is a fantastic coach — I repeat he is a fantastic coach — but he won the Champions with the scandal at Stamford Bridge. And if he wins again then it will be affected by today.

According to Eamon Dunphy only Maradona or George Best would have scored that 2nd goal tonight.

Barca are the one team that will match Man United's work ethic and on a head to head probably only VDS and Vidic would get into their team. If Barca don't win 3 or 4 nil there is a fix on.

If a feeble Arsenal side can beat Barca i wouldn't rule out a United side with vast experience.

Not a hope in hell, only Barca can beat Barca. Barca's midfield v the work horses, no offence mate but it's like comparing a Group 1 winner in the Curragh to a National Hunt winner in Punchestown.

Only barca can beat barca what is that supposed  to mean?  i don't know nothing about horse racing however I'm sure comparing it to football is like chalk & cheese.

ITV are a joke, 7.30 start and 2 ad breaks already at 7.43. WTF !

They are also known for missing goals with ad breaks.

Can't understand the Rossie half-pessimistic attitude towards this game! Surely to God ye'll bate these by at least 10 points.

Might have something to do with Galway (Div 1 team) who struggled to beat NY last year.

It might, but Galway weren't defending Connacht champions. True, Longford probably would have stopped the Rossie momentum, but I cannot see anything other than an easy win for Roscommon.

Prior to the New york game last year Galway had wins over Dublin &Tyrone if it wasn't the two men getting sent off New york would have won, Yes Roscommon are defending Connacht champions this time around however that will only serve to fire up the NY lads even more.
