The NI opposition parties appear to be more rational, with the obvious exception of the batshit TUV.

NI parties don't do rational or basic common sense. If they did Stormont wouldn't be the shit show it is. Stormont is an example of how not to govern. Two parties on completely opposite sides who refuse to compromise. In years to come it'll be a case study on ignorance, stupidity and bigotry

When you're a populist party like  SF with no polices you have to expect this ridiculous carry on.

All they are about is criticising everything. The day they have to actually make major decisions in government is a frightening day. They've no history of governing &all they do is shout sound bites they think the electorate will like.

Basic things like budgets & limited spending are meaningless to them & that's a frightening thought

General discussion / Re: ukraine regime change

It is that simple. Russia have already taken part of Ukraine and now want the whole country. Ukraine quite rightly aren't happy about this.

NATO are trying to convince Putin not to invade. It's not rocket science

This thread is so depressing. I mean how f**king stupid can some people be? It's a straight forward scenario, but idiots are making it complicated.

Russia wants to invade Ukraine. (They've already invaded and claimed crimea as part of Russia)

Ukraine quite rightly are saying they don't want to be taken over by Russia and Europe/NATO are acknowledging there decision

Idiots here are criticising the US but how exacrly are they the bad guys here?

Jesus lads, Clifford was like a one man show in the semi final against Tyrone.  Not sure how things would have panned out had he not got injured.  Fully deserving I think

That's my point. All Star handed out based on one game.

Is this the first year were the young player of the year didn't win an All Star?
Clifford lucky to win one as well. They should just rename the All Stars to the All Ireland series awards. All Stars are handed out based on semi final/final performances. Rest of the year is irrelevant

Ah... The Purple Huns

BBC News - Hearts apologises after loyalist song played at stadium

Purple Huns? Christ you're a bigot. That's Scottish football to alot of people who never go to games. Their experience is based simply on what they see on tv or read on twitter. Sheer nonsense

TROLLLLLLLLLL
Good man Charlie. If that's all you can offer jog on you trolllllllll!

Have any of you Celtic fans even seen them play this season? I've been working in Edinburgh (with Rangers fans) and been to several Hearts games. I've been offered tickets to Rangers Celtic but I want no part of those games. I much prefer going to Tynecastle. Standard of football is similar to LOI but Hearts have a ground that's far superior to anything in LOI. Some the sides like St Mirren, Dundee are really poor and would struggle in the LOI

Pretty much sums you up. Tynecastle. Wtf like.

Sums you up Charlie. WTF  You're just an ignorant bigot. It's only twats like yourself who don't go to games who come out with nonsense like this.

Hearts/Rangers fans despite what fools like yourself think are actually normal friendly people. You might that hard to believe but religion has never come up when I've met them in work/pub or at games.

If you ever went to games and met them rather than judging them from a barstool you might realise that

SPL title winners go straight into the 2021/22 CL group stage, that's an attractive proposition and should be the out and out main target of this season.
100%, I firmly believe this is the goal. A very achievable one at that.

It's. a 50/50 shot. Of course it's achievable. Celtic/Rangers have a far superior budget to anyone else in the SPL

Seriously who exactly do you think you're up against?

Still a wakner. I'm calling you put every time. Slide on troll
I'm still right though & your stupid.

Celtic/Rangers have budgets that are far superior to anyone else in their league. It's a joke.

Shamrock Rovers won the LOI this year & their budget was bigger than some SPL clubs. I mean Celtic fans went mental because they didn't win 10 league titles on a row. Only in Scotland is ridiculously stupid achievements like this a thing

How many Leinsters and all irelands have dublin in a row at this stage?

Think it's 11 leinsters and zero all Irelands

GAA is an amateur sport. If you don't know the difference that's your bad. In soccer you can buy/sign players to win trophies to be successful that you can't do in GAA( unless you are Kildare/seanie Johnston)

Good to see you pointing out the dubs underachievement this year as well just like Celtic.  They didn't win the All Ireland so it's a failure of a year. Similar to Celtic.Like them they've far bigger budget/squads to almost everyone else they compete against so if they don't win the the title questions have to be asked as to why not

Brooks get 5 nights in Croker, how has things changed?

A large majority of the residents are furious the gigs are going ahead. Aiken promotions held a meeting and told the residents they had confirmed 2 gigs and were looking to confirm another 3. Residents were told licencing laws have changed so they couldn't go to court like they did the last time to stop the shows. Cocky twats were only short of gloating about it.

Wouldn't give a guarantee that croker would be limited to 3 concerts per year anymore either from 2022 onwards
Iwhile garth isn't my cup an tae. What do these residents expect  they live beside a stadium that was there long b4 any off them were. Live with it. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it's reality. Thry knew where was a stadium there.

Usage of Croke Park has fundamentally changed since tbe rebuild. We have gone from 8 games a year to dozens, some under lights, with gigs and conferences
When was Croke Park only 8 games a year?
It has always been in regular use.

Residents have always accepted croker is a GAA venue.

GAA games in croker are on 2/4pm and done around 7 pm at the very latest

Concerts are a different story. More drunken fools, shows don't finish until about 11pm and GAA treating residents like shit.

Not the games under lights...

Far less drinking at football than concerts. Games also finish far earlier than the concerts as well.

I've left Croke during the league games at night, was late enough, but you being a dub know different

GAA/concert crowd is different. Majority of people aren't drinking during GAA games in croker and head home after the game.

Concert crowd are drinking throughout and by the end of the show are twisted. Far more drunkenness, alot more messy and horrible to police/steward
