Had to turn Nolan off this am in the car, lead story SF posing as pollsters...no mention of Ff or FG. The bias is breathtaking.

My putting is pure shite at the minute, so I bought a new driver  ;D ;D. Ping 425! Weapon.

I have the G400 unreal yoke. Have my eye on G425 upgrade though as my chipping is terrible.
You'll get a G410 at a better price for the same result. I changed to ping last year and striking has improved, class gear.

I like to get fitted though and I've yet to see anywhere fit you into the previous iterations.
Andrew Morris will do a fitting for you, in drivers its mainly to do with loft, shaft and bias and both G410 and G425 should be available.

Rory commits to the Irish Open. Another reason why he is the GOAT.
Long way behind Jack and Tiger as the GOAT. Certainly on results he'd be an Irish GOAT...he'll be at the puc fair next year.

Antrim / Re: ANTRIM HURLING

Cam down lads, we are not the same standards as limerick,Galway Tipp etc. we need to be competing at minor and u21 before we have those sort of aspirations. Iíll take a deep run in Leinster with the view of adding a few more players for next year.

Dublin are a massive battle for us. They were well ahead of us in our game and we say we were tired etc but the championship game will tell us if that is a reality. We're massively improved being competitive with these teams and if we beat Dublin tbh I would be absolutely over the moon and if I'm honest very pleasantly surprised. I would say it's dublin +5 or so for that game by bookies odds. One game at a time.

All Ireland talk is either WUM stuff or pipe dream stuff.

Galway, Limerick and Tipp the 3 best with the likes of KK, Waterford etc below them. There's a massive gap between the top few and the next few and there's a massive gap from them to the rest.
Yes Dublin have worked hard and spent a lot in the last 10 years to develop hurling, but you Antrim guys have a tradition going back generations and all the cultural links to commons, shinty etc... You can and should be able to compete at the highest level. Though an AI is a way off.

Great result for Antrim, good for hurling across the province. Davy Fitz is a legend and was rightly complimentary. Gleeson is doing a good job and hopefully he can build on this.

My understanding is that he was contacted through track and trace, and had to be tested son not necessarily within PGA.

Paul Givan being touted as the next DUP first minister (provided the shinners allow it) and I was wondering how that will play out with his previous shithousery over Irish Language grants.

SF should allow it. It's not up to any party to determine who the other party nominates.
If Stormont falls over a language act and given where we are with our health service I think the public would quite rightly be unforgiving.
There is not a chance in hell that Stormont can sort out health. Too many voters want a full hospital service within walking distance. The rationalisation that is required is not a vote getter.

Me and a few mates are heading up to play all 3 courses at Rossapena. 195 euro for all 3. I've never played it so looking forward to it. My aim this summer is to play 5 or 6 of the top courses. It's that bloody expensive for some of them though that it totally puts me off. I don't care how good the course is, I wouldn't pay near £300 for it.

Where did you get this deal? I've a week in Downings to kill in August and that sounds about perfect. Play 18 and off to the harbour bar for a liquid lunch, just need to get the permission slip stamped now!
I have been fortunate enough to play RCD and Portstewart as a guest for free, I would agree no course is worth near £300. RCD was pristine but not £300 worth of pristine. I love Seapoint, Cruit, St Anne's and Narin on the links side. Royal Tara, Spa, Headford and Craddockstown on parkland. My favourite parkland is Slieve Russell.
I don't care how good Trumps courses are I wouldn't give him a penny.

Is McIlroy actually a choker or is he just overrated?

I'd say it's more the latter. I wouldn't have called Lleyton Hewitt a choker for instance, he just broke on the scene at a weak era, won a few slams in that brief weak era and then fell off the radar when better players came along. I would say that's very similar to McIlroy.

If the field was a lot weaker now, McIlroy would be winning majors but the reality is there's probably 10-15 or so better players out there for the past 6/7 years than him and he just has a very sensitive fanbase who have issues dealing with that.
I wouldn't say he is a choker, Majors are hard to win, so many players in with a chance and virtually all the top ranked golfers in the field. It is relatively easier to win weaken week out events on the PGA tour, but still no picnic. I see majors as Championship and the normal weekly events as league in GAA terms. Thats what makes them exciting and someone like Danny Willet can strike gold (or Rich Beem) never to feature again. I wouldn't discount McIlroy winning another but I don't think it will be the masters.

Yet another media statement issued by David Campbell today about the protocol. In it he states that 'the people of Northern Ireland will not accept this diktat from yet another unelected German'. You couldn't make it up!

I wish someone would remind me who actually elected him or how he can proclaim to speak on behalf of the people in the 6 counties. It's all a smokescreen to justify the street violence when they begin marching and rioting in the weeks ahead. Why is this man and other unelected loyalists being given such a constant platform, it is a dangerous precedent if these paramilitary groups think that they can make demands from an international trading bloc of 27 countries.
Is the Queen not an unelected German?

The lack of self awareness in these lads is unreal..
Even Poots bullshitting that NI-Rep relations were at an all time low is bollox.

Their wee Protestant state has disappeared before their very eyes and they don't see it.

Yes, if it was David Campbell who wrote that statement yesterday then he is completely lacking in self awareness. He really ought to have had it proof read before he referred to 'another unelected German'. (1) Who are the other unelected Germans that he is referring to (2) Does he not see the irony in referring to 'unelected' representatives and (3) she is actually elected to the European Parliament.
In the last week alone this unelected LCC have sent a 19 year old to a Commons meeting threatening violence, called on the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs to resign from his job, told the Irish government to 'man up' to the EU and had another go at the EU. They are being used as political pawns by the British administration yet they were elected by nobody and similar to the DUP with Brexit itself, are now claiming to speak for all of the people here unchallenged. They are being given far more credence than actual retail or business organisations.

Mickleson - another one of the new generation of golfer that McIlroy just can't complete with.  :P Glad he wasn't around when McIlroy was picking up all those handy major titles.  ;)

Would be some craic on here today had McIlroy played the same as Koepka or Oosthuizen in that last round.

Koepka played awful yet still got it round only 2 over. Many others would have slumped to an 80

Koepka choked yesterday. Missing those easy putts had nothing to do with his knee.
Not sure I'd agree that he choked, and as one who has two bad knees and a bad swing I can tell you the knees don't help, that and a handicap of 20 would have seen me struggle too. :)

The US Open will feature the usual suspects but it would be nice to see someone like Fowler win it.

Fowler will have bother winning a tournament he isn't in (as of yet.)
He'll be there

Wouldn't argue with that, same with Oosthuizen's round. Was more to do with the lazy analysts on here that would crucify another player for the same thing.

Koepka's double bogey on the second was a massive swing after what happen at the first. Never managed to put enough pressure on Mickelson after that, Phil had a 2/3/4 shot cushion until Koepka put a bit of pressure on with back to back birdies at 15+16.

Koepka, Rahm, Speith, Bryson are currently top of the betting for the next major
Speith played reasonably well but couldn't buy a putt on the first two days, Koepka was playing with a knee injury that was bound to hamper him. If you watch PGA golf Oosthuizen threatens a fair bit with out delivering. Thomas has been up and down this year mainly a reaction to his Granddads death. Whilst it is great to see Phil standing up for the older guys 4 rounds is a lot to do at that age. Rahm didn't play well but was still hanging about and Bryson is just Bryson. The US Open will feature the usual suspects but it would be nice to see someone like Fowler win it.
