Sligo list is complete bar Naomh Eoin who are an exclusively hurling club. There is a possibility that another hurling club - Western Gaels - may affiliate this year but that is it for the Yeats county.

Limerick is only started added a few more there now, and will do again during the rest of the day.

Hurley man

I see Gaelic Life www.gaeliclife.com has a list of Ulster clubs and are inviting clubs to submit their web addresses. Fermanagh looks a bit light

QuoteCOUNTIES WITH MOST GAA CLUBS

1.   Cork   259
2.   Dublin   220
3.    Wexford   187
4.    Meath   150
5.    Antrim   108

COUNTIES WITH LEAST GAA CLUBS

1.    Leitrim   33
2.   Carlow   35
3.   Kilkenny   41
4.    Fermanagh   50
5.    Monaghan   50

I think these numbers include clubs who compete in both hurling and football as 2 seperate clubs and also includes ladies football and camogie.

QuoteSince you're on the site, why not add them yourself? If everyone did that, then it would be the complete list.

Done. I added 10 North Mayo clubs as they misspelled Kiltane and linked it to some place in Meath.

there is a kiltale in meath -its a hurling club

Thank you Huley Man. Funny how all your posts are about how great Gaelic Life is. Pathetic. We can all see through you.

Border Fox

There's 33/34 Football clubs in Monaghan, I dont know how many of the hurling clubs, or ladies clubs are seperate from the football clubs. Its something of a grey area

Alll the hurling clubs are missing from the Down list. They have taken this from the football league tables. Looks like O'Donnell's, Sarsfield's and Peader O'Neill Crowley's are missing from the Antrim list.
As has been said why don't you add them
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Scud is spot on about fermanagh

Belnaleck and Coa are Junior whilst Lisbellaw is Hurling only

FermPundit

yep, we have very few clubs in Fermanagh but it highlights how successful we have been with limited resources. Whilst the lack of clubs and playing members has meant that we have enjoyed little success over the years, it does result in a club spirit being created among the county side amongst players and supporters alike. It's hard to believe that Dublin haven't won an All Ireland since 1995 when you consider that some Dublin parishes would have at least 5 times the population of the GAA community in Fermanagh!!
We'll win Ulster some day, not sure when.

Cork   259           6 Sams      30 Liams
2.   Dublin   220      22                  6
3.    Wexford   187  5                    6
4.    Meath   150         7                          0
5.    Antrim   108         0                          0

Antrim have the 5th greatest amount of clubs and haven't won Sam or Liam, Why? good question, is it because of the football-hurling divide, city v country, players arnt good enough, never had the proper management structures, or plain and simply the players have not got the dedication or desire that it takes to bring one of the above home, or maybe you think differently.
