GAA Discussion / Disciplinary Procedure Advice
April 20, 2011, 11:26:28 AM
does anyone know anything about the disciplinary procedure regarding appeals?

we had a player sent off, got 8weeks, it has been appealed within the time-frame which was Sunday 3rd April, now some 17days later we have still not got word of the appeal. The guy got 8 weeks, but we think that we can get this down to 4weeks, however if CHC give him 4weeks, he will be available on Sunday to play for us.

surely if the hearing is not heard before Sunday then his case is prejudiced on the basis that if he had got 4, he shoulda played at the weekend?

any thoughts?

we have chased up the appeal several times

i got the code from a guy works in sky, cost me £50 right nuff.

I got multi room, SKy +HD, full package, £30 per month, should be £60.

So i am happy enough - however the code only works once.

Can anyone explain why a say 10 year old would pick rugby/soccer over football or hurling?

For instance this is my clubs senior games for 2010

21/2/10
28/2/10
7/3/10
18/4/10
25/4/10
9/5/10
20/5/10
23/5/10
27/5/10
6/6/10 Conceed by opposition
11/6/10
20/6/10
25/6/10
27/6/10
25/7/10
7/8/10
15/8/10
5/9/10 Conceeded by opposition
12/9/10
26/9/10

21 matches from the 21st Feb to 26th Sept (thats 31 weeks)

there is 4 week break from the disctrict cup to the start of the league, we then play 3 games within 7days, then none for 21days as team concedes. we then have a league game on the 5th Sept, some 4 weeks after the previous league game, yet the team concedes leaving us going into the championship 5weeks without a competitive game.

can someone please tell me why say a ten year old would want this in comparison to weekly games in rugby or soccer??

before anyone starts I wouldn trade GAA for anything, but I am trying to work out why our association is losing great ground on other sports
That compares favourably against senior rugby or soccer.  Why don't you post your under 10 and under 12 fixture list of you want to compare for a 10 year old?

I dont have the facts in front of me for our underage - but what am trying to say is, why would a ten year old concentrate on gaa, if he knows in 8/10 years he will get this kind of treatment, at least with the other codes he knows what he is getting.
