It seems like Omagh could be a different class to everyone else. Everyone thought this is a very open championship, but when u look at that omagh team, they look brilliant. Can never remember a Carmen team exiting the championship so tamely.
t

Would tend to disagree. Undoubtedly showed their class but has as much to do with how poor carmen were. I think over past couple of years they have papered over a few cracks, relatively easy runs to final and performed very well last year and should've won probably. But look like might be end of the road for this team. St endas were impressive but in way they controlled it. Especially in defence. Will be a humdinger between them and dromore.

You Omagh boys have no manners.Despite paying big money to our manager we still scraped up a few shillings to get tae and sandwiches for you's for after the game. You's never even came into the committee room afterwards. We had to throw all out.

Got a good laugh at this ;D beat up a bunch of lads and then complain when dont take your sandwiches  ;D

The scoreboard says we won boys. A few omagh boys thought they would try and rough us up. didnt work out for them.

Somehow I doubt that omagh went up to loughshore with intention to rough ardboe up ;D good result for ardboe though.

Yeah it will be great when Tyrone are out of everything and we can squabble over an O'Neill cup and then get laughed at in the Ulster Club as usual!
That will be great for Tyrone football alright.

and again sam....showing your true county colours. what club is it you support again?? probably couldn't even name us your captain.

run away off now and chase after a few premium level tickets in croker there

The most important game in Tyrone football this year is next week against Roscommon.
It would be a massive boost to get to an Under 21 final.
Club games could easily be played a different weekend, will it really make a difference in the grand scheme of things? There is plenty of weeks to play them. There will in all likelyhood be one chance to reach an All Ireland Final this year and that is next weekend.
The U21 management deserve a weekend to work with their squad and prepare for it properly. Play a round of club games on a Friday or Wednesday evening some night in May or June.

such an insulting post to any club player sam. obvious your one of these county supporters that would rarely attend club game if this is your attitude. course it matters when its played. teams all round the county have preparing for this date for 3 months, players have changed work and schedules to make and now your saying it doesn't matter?

can anyone explain to me why the games have been changed to Saturday? i know initially it was too allow for 6 day rule before roscommon game but the under 21s aren't going to play anyway so why bother changing it and messing up plans and arrangements players have made. surely would've been logical to keep it on sunday?

There must have been some luck flying around Tyrone last year with both Carrickmore and Omagh exceptionally lucky to get to the final according to the wise men on here.

I dont mean lucky per se. Omagh were deserving champs and showed the desire and heart that many people on here thought they were lacking. I dont mean to say carmen were lucky either. They beat who were in front of them and were deserving finalists, in fact perhaps unlucky in the final but I just think that they had a relatively easy run in and that they would be up against it if played any of top 5 teams early in championship. But only my opinion and im sure plenty will disagree.

Carmen and Clonoe will be some county final next year.

Carmen will be no where near it. Unless they get extremely lucky again and play relegation threatened team up until semi final. When was the last time carmen beat a top 5 team in championship since they overcame a self imploding 14man coalisland 2yrs ago?

Appearing in three of the last four Tyrone senior competition finals was all just "extremely lucky"? Catch a grip man.

Read it again. Never said getting to last 3 was lucky but to get to final next year will be extremely lucky.....different argument completely

I would rank the teams as
1 omagh
2 clonoe
3 errigal
4 dromore
5 island
6 Carmen
7 ardboe
8 killyclogher
9 moy
10 trillick
11 eglish
12 donghamore
13 dungannon
14 augher
15 greencastle
16 strabane

I'd say Killyclogher have a better chance than that. It may have been forgotten that they won the Senior League this year due to Omagh being in Ulster.
Aye I agree with glenman, killyclogher should be seventh above ardboe

Omagh and clonoe both tops based on quality of players. Dromore just slightly behind though only slightly because few top players moving on but seem to be able to bring players through to replace them. Errigal probably behind that in 4th along with coalisland who very easily couldve had a good championship run this year too. Killyclogher 6th and moving in right direction, whether improving quick enough to become number 1 at end of year remains to be seen. Carmen, despite this years easy run to final probably after this, dont think too many team would worry about drawing them in the first round. Ardboe in around this level too but the biggest thing with them is seem to be moving in wrong direction. Get further away every year. Then after that all around same level with little chance of winning the championship.

very gracious bc1. the standard of armagh championship certainly didn't help. nothing like the white heat of battle to sharpen a team. maybe that caught cross cold in last 10mins

good post by fuzz man. spot on with most of it i think

I wouldn't say that has anything to do with it. Cross, IMO, are better than the rest of the clubs in Ulster - but not that much better. Today, they were a point up, lost two players and were beaten by 2 points. Fine margins.
I wasn't doubting Cross ability, they are a fantastic team, they are strong physical, they play great direct football and do the simple things well but it appears that in Armagh the opposition are beat before they go onto the field. Omagh looked the same for 20 minutes but that was more that Cross were taking their chances. No matter how well prepped you are that has to seep in, they have to be thinking these boys aren't up for it, we have it won.

cross are a fine team and credit for their record. Out of the last 9yrs have still win 6 ulster titles. I don't believe though that if they were in tyrone or down championship they would have won 18 out of 19. still think they would be one of the better teams if not probably the best but they would be caught out more often than they are in armagh. if that was an armagh team that went 7 down today it would be game over. maybe cross thought it was too.

on todays game. really enjoyable game to watch. cross stronger in first half and omagh looked out of sorts. took them a while to get going which it has done all year but thought they maybe left too much to do. but the winning of the game was holding cross scoreless for over 30mins. very impressive defending. justy & gallagher marshalled defence very well. mullan and no5 excellent as well. can't remember cross forwards winning any easy ball out in front in second half at all really. thought barry tierney was wasted marking clarke and omagh management made a good call to switch him with gallagher to free him up and leave gallagher on clarke. up front RON led line perfectly aswell. very impressive second half.

Omagh are 11/2 for a reason, how many poor bookmakers do you know?? They rarely get it wrong

Saying Cross arnt as big or physical as previous makes me laugh, have you seen them this year?? Omagh will be bullied out of it. Hanratty will run straight over the top of Omaghs midfield

I'd be more concerned about Omaghs "lack of game time" 1 Month to prepare, surely Clonoe arnt happy after last years turnaround!!!

In the same way carmen and dromore were going to bully omagh? Would u be saying the same thing if either of those teams were playing. Lazy old stereotypcal analysis. And why would hanratty dominate against omaghs strongest area of the field with grugan and mcmahon?

Cross definite favourites and should win but not for silly lazy reasons put forward by club boi. Obviously hasnt seen tbis omagh team play.

In league last year Carmen beat Dromore, Clonoe, Coalisland, Killyclogher and drew with Errigal. They beat Dromore in the league semi in Dromore. They beat Coalisland in the championship in getting to the final. This year they were the better team and very unlucky in co final. How that makes us 6th best is beyond me. Name 5 better clubboi

Club bois point was any management team wouldve walked carmen to county final which is true. Played 2 team involved in relegation battle and ardboe who struggled this year. And as for being a better team in final. Its an irrelevant point. Didnt have the class to finish your chances. It could be argued augher were the better team and only for the ref would be beat. Swings and roundabouts.

Any word of Tyrone retirements or shall we also say forced retirements for 2015.

Any idea of who will be coming in? Bar Fergus

Can we stop this Fergus shit. He is going to need as much support as possible, especially from Tyrone people, players and supporters.

I support him coming back - everyone has their issues but I actually thought he had changed his name!

I dont support his return In anyway. Man is lowest of the low. Has repeatedly stole money and defrauded people over and over again. Alot of whom were good tyrone gaa people. Showed no remorse at any stage. And for mickey to bring this man in shows a complete lack of respect to decent tyrone gaa people who have been conned by this con artist.im ignoring the video farce but I cant look past what he has done before

Carrickmore are not a done team. Youth seems reasonable. Wont be pushing for any more county titles for a time I would guess though. Been a long time since any team had such an easy run in. Had a relatively easy run in the year before aswell. So although not done, would have them outside top 6 and will lose benny mclaughlin this year too. Going back to Australia
