Now for that club All-Ireland to even things up! :P

That's awful about Howley. F**k it anyway, just when we had a good half-back line coming together. He will be a loss, hopefully Cunniffe might step up to the mark now. I hope and pray our defence doesn't get any more injuries or else we could be frigged for the Sligo game.

In North Mayo club rivalries take centre-stage.

Oh dear, the annual moan about Pearse Stadium is starting again. Is there anybody really happy with the location of Galway's home ground? South Galway people maybe? PS, I think Liam Sammon has done a good job with Galway and at this moment in time ye would be my favourites for Connacht. Whether Galway can do anything else is another matter.

Is it definitely on the 12th of June?

It will be good entertainment, but is the standard slipping?

Could today be the first time a team retained the League in England after previously winning 3 in a row? I don't know the answer myself but I'm fairly sure of it. ;D

I'm getting really nervous now and will be until the final whistle goes at Stamford Bridge and the JJB. I predict a 2-0 win for United, but Wigan will hold out for a long time and it'll be a testing day for the heart I imagine.

It says 2-13 to 2-7 on mayogaa Deel Rover. Anyway, Knockmore beat Burrishoole this evening by 5, 0-11 to 0-6. Both sets of forwards had an off-day. I was surprised by the length of the grass on the Knockmore pitch. I saw too that Ballina gave Garrymore a hiding, 2-11 to 0-7 in Garrymore. Ballaghaderreen and Charlestown drew. Castlebar won by 2 against Kilmeena.

Mayo and Galway are the traditional rivlas - but as has been mentioned their battles over the years have been close. But for me, the bigger rivalry is with the Rossies - if we lose to Galway, the attitude appears to be - OK, we'll get them the next time.

But I hate it when we lose to Roscommon - really does my nut in for weeks
And what of Sligo - or are we more of a nuisance? Would be keen enough by the Moy I'd have felt. As I thought, the dislike is probably more intense with the Ros, more respect between Galway and Mayo I suppose.

Sums it up perfectly. Still don't like been reminded of the Connacht final in 2001. Sligo, I suppose are just a team we have to get out of the way before the real stuff...bit like this year really. :P

QuoteYou do feel like an awful p***k after the game tho, especially if you've actually said latter statement to someone

And I always end up the p***k who says that statement!! :-[ :P

Watch Castlebar this year. Dark horses imo but it seems in nobody else's.

You said that last year as well IIRC!! Suppose it has to come true one year at least

Yeah, I did. :o Anyway RGS, didn't see all that much football last year and missed that Castlebar v Knockmore game, but whatever you say. ;)
