That's right highking, to mark the place where the first ever hurling game was played! In football, the islands have a new enough club- called Na nOileáin. It's not long on the go.

Here's my tuppence worth regarding the defence.
A Higgins Navin K Higgins
Dev  Heaney  Gardiner.
This is only for the league. We could put in Howley instead at the number 2 position. He plays at no 6 for Knockmore but he could play no 2 for the county.

Interestly he mentioned the "32 county" rugby team as if this was in some way a bad thing.
Can anyone give a logical reason why he would even mention this or is the guy just pure mental?

dubnut, the guy is just pure mental.

The last week is the reason why Chelsea will win the Premiership

Totally agree Barney, yesterday at least, Chelsea won a game they should have lost. United lost a game where if they had their shooting boots on should and could have won.

Barney you hit the nail on the head. Nallen is not good enough for intercounty football, perhaps to bring him on if things are getting frayed at the end but I don't think Nallen will start a game in the green and red again, especially during the summer months.

Knockmore Ballina, Knockmore Crossmolina, Crossmolina Ballina. All great club rivalries in Mayo. There are probably other club rivalries in other parts of the county but I'd say these are the most intense as we all hate to lose to one another. Isn't that right Mayo4Sam, Stephenite and the Cross posters? But seriously, we all are one big happy family! :D

From hoganstand:
The Mayo football leagues have an uncertain future following proposals to change the format were denied at a recent county board meeting, which leaves clubs uncertain of when the league will begin.

The fact there is still several matches to be played in this year’s league campaign was a major cause for concern among delegates, but now the league is in limbo and it looks as if a decision will not be made until the New Year.

The County Board has invited clubs to submit more proposals for consideration with the most likely scenario that the league comprise of four divisions consisting of 12 teams each.

Would you be confident to see Nallen marking Donaghy at full-back Mayo4Sam? I don't think I would.

Anyone know who is relegated to intermediate? Wasn't the game between Louisburgh and Kiltimagh to go ahead on Sunday.

Sure sounds like a dig to me. Whatever about Gill not being involved, Pat Kelly is the one that caught my eye as the players that are not involved.
