Harvey Elliots leg just broke with a horrible tackle. Gary neville says it's not a red.

I only saw the real time footage. Didn't look that bad.

You would have to assume VAR had a proper look though.

Gabriel_Hurl

finally for Mane ...... hopefully that kicks him on now.

laoislad

Horrible for Elliot, hopefully it's not as bad as it looked but it did seem his ankle was dangling..
On the game itself, it was as comfortable as they come but they really should have scored about 6 if not more.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Hound

Cruel for Elliott. Really cruel.

Decent performance. Expecting a big season from Thiago.

Chat of a dislocated ankle...I don't think over heard of a player doing this. Anyone any experience of it and the time out it will take?

Cathal mcshane. Bad injury

BennyCake

Looked a nasty injury. Looked to be in a lot of pain. Hopefully he's back soon.

The young lad's injury aside, that was a good performance yesterday.

Thiago and Fabinho were superb in midfield. Van Dijk and Matip were cruising against Bamford's solo act.

Salah though? The man has been incredible since the spring. Arguably the best he's ever played at Liverpool.

Liverpool have started the season how they finished the last one, on a very good run of form. We all know about the impact of injuries by now. Avoid the catalogue of long-term injuries we saw last year, and they're going to be in the hunt for the 2 big prizes again.Worrying though to see us hit with another one so early in the season.  Need Mane to get back to his old self.
That's just, like your opinion man.

quit yo jibbajabba

Deffo looking good. So are a few others tho....

Still think that not signing one more forward could come back to bite. Mané missin plenty but always mind Rushie sayin that if he wasnt gettin chances then he was more worried.

In summary, shoe-ins for league and champs league 😃

Decent performances to date but have played noone of note yet (given Chelsea obviously was impacted by the sending off).

All the Big 5 (Arsenal?) have started well albeit there have not been too many meetings between them yet. Looking like how the big teams perform in that mini league will be  crucial as very few points being dropped against the mid/lower table teams.

Gutted for Elliott. He had slotted seamlessly into that team and has that vision that very few players his age have. Just hope its not as bad as it looked

The current top 4 shouldn't change, it's how they finish up in their positions come May
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Yeah thats my point. Its the matches against each other that will make the difference. I fully expect all 4 to maintain good records against other teams.

Chelsea and City still have the bigger better squads though. Be interesting to see how Chelsea improve from last season and if City have the hunger for the two fronts as the CL is still the target

A horrible injury for Elliot, lets just hope its not as bad as it first looked.
From a  Liverpool point of view, it puts pressure on the squad again straight away as he would have been seen as a player that provided cover in both midfield and in attack.
Fabinho/thiago/henderson/kieta/jones/ milner/Ox as midefeild options still looks fine but you are only one mid to longer term injury away from the squad being seriously stretched again.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either
