Leaving aside the obvious hillbilly shit, the chair of the county board asked the council for advice on crest design? What?

Good to see our county board is not wasting time on trivial matters and the famed long wooled native Roscommon sheep will reclaim its rightful place on our county crest next to the crown of Queen Maeve, the beautiful Roscommon created Cross of Cong, agus, An Craoibhin Aoibhinn, Douglas Hyde. Hopefully they will realise too that the bus will also need a new coat of paint as it's been traveling the length and breath of Ireland with a black faced Kerry mountain lamb. Sheepstealers Abú.

What a fantastic crest. Is the green thing beside the sheep the craoibhin aoibhinn ?

Yes the "beautiful branch" to represent Douglas Hyde.

It could be used as a great motivator in next years connacht final or playoff at the Hyde.
Teams are lined out ready for the throw in, someone from the county board lets a sheep wearing a rossie hat or jersey loose at the half way line and proceeds to chase it across the field to the other sideline. It would throw the Rossie crowd into an absolute frenzy, could easily be worth two or three points.

Ros don't need any motivation to bate either Mayo or Galway
