I repeat, an enormous security operation will be required to shepherd Bhoys fans in and out of the Oval. I certainly wouldn't fancy travelling alone and leaving my car in Dee Street with my Celtic jersey/scarf on

you'll be well pissed off if it passes off without incident  :'(

MW, Can I offer you assistance is establishing the Connswater Celtic Supporters Club? ;D

A very senior member of the Glentoran establishment is a life long Bhoy ( which shows the diversity of the Hoops) and got me a ticket for Seville - so well done Glens !

Also the PSNI lads will be glad of the O/T!

Name the famous ex Celtic player who once  managed Glentoran?

PS MW and OWCers not allowed to answer this.

Indeed I am...his boyhood hero Bertie Peacock went from the Glens to Celtic in the 1950s, that started him. Think the identification of Linfield and Rangers helped too ;D He seemed to survive OK growing up in East Belfast :o

(On a related note he's been looking into family history recently, including a great uncle of his (from the Shankill, ugh ;D) who was an Irish international - has found he played for Glentoran, Belfast Celtic and Linfield at various times :o)

Actually the wee lad next door to me has a mate who supports the Glens and Celtic too, haven't found out if there's any story behind that...

Glentoran's greatest manager ever, and the greatest Glentoran team ever, I would argue.

I've got a replica Detriot Cougars shirt, and have so far managed to get to three of the venues the Cougars played at back in 1967...
