Will young Wiffen's race be on RTÉ tomorrow?

Imagine they will. Have done a good job of covering Irish competitors based on what I've seen so far.

The egg chasers kept up the noble tradition of choking when it mattered.

Bitterly disappointing, but they would have ended up playing  New Zealand in the quarters and near certain defeat. they needed to beat the USA to get an easier quarter final.

Plenty of good Irish in Action in Day 5 -  includes proud moment for the Rossies with Aoife O'Rourke making her debut in women's boxing. Her grandfather was the famous Dan O'Rourke, former President of the GAA.

Great swim
Good going and I believe the 1500m is his preferred distance so will see what his next race brings.

Moving the Brits into 4th upgrades it in my books.

Kurt Walker has had a huge win againt the Uzbek. The Uzbek was world champion and favourite for gold. i didn't see it but Walker surely has a good chance for a medal now.

The lightweight mens pair in the rowing also got into their final easily and look likely medalists from that.
