A decent chance that the 3 Galway clubs will win all the Connacht club titles this November.

I think until the Rooney situation is resolved (i.e. he is replaced by a decent striker) judgement must be reserved. The current period reminds me of just before Cantona was signed. United were boring, couldn't score, but were very solid at the back, conceding nothing. Cantona arrived and everything slipped into place. Luckily for Ferguson back then there was no transfer window and he was able to move for Eric in November. LVG will have to wait until January at the earliest. Not the greatest time to buy but they have to. Supposing Rooney was playing well - what would happen if he got injured for a time?
Quote from: Milltown Row2 on October 31, 2015, 02:45:44 PMFourth in the league, winning a cup would be the targets and both are achievable
I'd say fourth at the very least is secured
Quote from: snoopdog on October 31, 2015, 08:29:43 PMMartial has played on the wing for Monaco. LVG style of play is low risk football and he won't change to entertain a few supporters. I think Paul Scholes is right United are all system now and give very little room for individuals to impress themselves.
I am sick to death of the bollix van Gaal has united playing week in week out. Most boring team in the league. Create nothing and he plays martial out on the wing. The man hasn't a clue. Sooner we get rid the better.
Quote from: seafoid on October 28, 2015, 05:48:27 PMYes a Mayo man. With Horan saying no to a return the appointment of Rochford seems a formality at this stage.
Is the Corofin manager not from Mayo? would he be in with much of shout ?
Quote from: mrdeeds on October 27, 2015, 08:07:40 PMAnd 3-0 down a bad night for Gooners
Ox and Theo off injured. Injury jinx starts again.

A Clann v. Corofin final would match the two most successful clubs in the history of the Connacht championship..
Clann and Castlebar meet in the 1988 and 1993 Connacht finals, Clann won the 1988 encounter but Castlebar won the 1993 final after a replay.
Quote from: mjg on October 15, 2015, 11:16:45 PMIt seems that the players didn't want James Horan to leave and now want him back.
The year is almost finished, the players would want to get off there arses and choose there manager

Off topic somewhat but handiest place I could find:
Connacht U21 draw-
Ros v Galway , winners v Sligo
Mayowestros v Leitrim.
The Rhubarb rehab project continues .
