#121
Level in Markievicz Park at half time. Sligo 0-9 Leitrim 1-6.

Strong showing by Sligo 2nd half to win by 9 points. Sligo 2-18 Leitrim 2-9
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Blowitupref

Galway in command at half time in Tuam. 2-8 to 0-6. Roscommon counting the cost of not taking the 3 goal scoring chances that came their way.

That was something. When some great goal chances (4 or 5, was it) didn't go our way, we looked gone. But marvelous, intelligent  performance in second half, never say die attitude for a deserved win. Some fine footballers on Galway side, hard luck to them, will be tough one to take after looking home and dry when went 11 up.

Congrats to Roscommon, some disaster of a year for Galway football.

A complete disaster, plenty of question marks about the manager at this level.

1,500 attendance allowed at Final.
Don't know how many went on public sale at 4pm but all gone by 4.06.
I'm far from a let it rip merchant but 24k in an enclosed place like Croker and only 1, 500 in an open situation like the Hyde with acres of space around it.... :-\
Around 4,500 would be a similar % as the Croker 24k  and far more fresh air, open space etc.
Anyway got a ticket.

Croke Park = 24k/83k = 29%
Hyde Park = 1.5k/19k = 8%

Who is making up these rules and what criteria are they using. Makes no logical sense to me.

Trying understand the logic of government set decisions is a pointless exercise.

Was it not being based on seating capacity rather than overall capacity? It's nonsense in any event.

It was seating only for the senior Connacht championship game in early July. Friday night the terrace will be used.
