Before 1998 no Connacht team had won the club all Ireland . I remember the mí ádh of Clann na nGael in the 80s. It was a glass ceiling but once Corofin broke the ice there was no stopping them. The first 3 senior teams on the list all won the ultimate club prize. Connacht abú.

Leitrim football is in a bad place

Good win for Brigids against a very disappointing Coolera Strandhill. Brian Stack will be a big loss for St Brigids if he's out. Looked a serious injury but he limped off without a stretcher, hopefully a good sign. Hopefully Rory Fallon and Sean Trundle make quick recovery too.

Once again - the wind in Pearse is about to ruin a game

22 minutes played Corofin 0-8 Ballina 0-1.  The tribesmen good value for that lead. Ballina won the toss and chose to play against the wind in this 1st half.

Half time Corofin 0-9 Ballina 0-3.

Corofin far superior in that first half. Is 6 points up enough is the question.
Have seem so many "game of two halves" matches in that stadium it's hard to know.

You'd wonder why it wasn't in Tuam. Would have suited both sets of supporters more and would be less windy.

I read during the week that Tuam wasn't an option for this one.
Something to do with capacity restrictions (dunno why as these games aren't going to draw huge crowds in these conditions).
Stand is being redeveloped after the intermediate game tomorrow.
Corofin generally choose Tuam for their Connacht club games - they would prefer to play there.
Comfortable enough win in the end

Blowitupref

Intermediate Semi final result.

Easkey 0-9 Castlerea 2-6.
