What a goal from Salah. Best player in the world at the moment.

The outside of the boot pass for the first goal was great as well

"THE GAA WOULD potentially earn an additional €10m in gate receipts alone if ‘Proposal B’ is voted into fruition at Special Congress later this month."
"And a report by former Meath minor football manager Conor O’Donoghue, a member of the national calendar fixtures task-force who runs a financial services company, has outlined the likelihood that Proposal B and its additional games would potentially be worth €10m to the GAA.

O’Donoghue forecasts that, firstly, almost €8m in additional revenue would be accrued by Central Council through the extra fixtures that would fall under its remit; and that secondly, a January-to-April provincial competition would be worth €2m more to the provinces than existing structures. (The four provincial councils are, however, understood to be majorly opposed to Proposal B due to what they perceive to be the dilution of the provincial championships).

O’Donoghue based his analysis on the two Super 8 seasons pre-Covid."

Assuming that crowds will be similar for a league format as they are for a knock-out format is foolish

There will not be as many Armagh supporters travelling to Kerry or Mayo as there would be for a game against Down or Tyrone.

If proposal B does go through, then the 6th place in Division 1 will feel hard done by, not bad enough to be relegated, not good enough for Sam and too good for Tailteann Cup.

the way i see it its  up to them to win their games

Talk about stating the bleedin' obvious. ;D Imagine 6th loses out on scoring difference of one point to 5th, it'd be a right kick in the teeth to them to have no more games until the following January or February.

Imagine a team loses a championship game by one point, it'd be a right kick in the teeth to them to have no more games until the following January or February.

i first fought proposal b was terrible now i think it might be good there was a thing where people say its not fair that 6th 7th and 8th teams  are knocked out well its up to them to win matches then they have a 5 out of 8 chance to do it its up to them to win their games.

Up to them to win matches? Have you taken into account they are playing in the toughest division and the 6th, 7th, 8th place teams in division 1 would more than likely beat 2nd,3rd in Division 2 and the Division 3,4 winners if given an opportunity to play them.

If team below the top 4 or 5 had any sense then they'd contrive to be 3rd in Division 2, then they'd be in Sam and would not get promoted where they risked ending the lower 3 in the Div 1 the following year.

And they would end up playing 1 of the top 4 teams in the All Ireland Q/Fs (assuming they beat the Div 3 winners). If they can't beat them in the league I can't see them beating them in the championship.

"Proposal B might not be perfect but with the appropriate supports mentioned above and potential innovations in the future (“bonus” league point for provincial finalists, possible “neutral” week in league at Croke Park or other venue – think “Magic Weekend” in Rugby League)"

It had occurred to me that something like that could work even in the traditional championship format could work. Have an Ulster,Connacht, Munster triple header in Croke Park maybe even throw they occasional Munster hurling game into the mix.

I am new to Android phone and am using an Outlook/Hotmail email on it. Problem is, when I send an email the recipient sees it coming from a person called “Action Require” instead of “Orior”

Any ideas?

Change your name by deed poll to "Action Require"

Both City goals came because the right back was too far infield, first Milner then Gomez.

Being non-political Both cardinals in Armagh are primates of all Ireland, not just the North, so they shouldn’t be recognising the border. And the arse-licking from Eamonn Martin in particular is sickening.

Does that mean they should boycott any event associated with the 26 county state?

Eight Premier League players will be stopped from playing for their clubs this weekend after Brazilian football authorities triggered a Fifa rule to prevent them appearing. Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Leeds United will all be affected. Players not released for an international window can be banned for five days after the window ends under the Fifa regulations. The decision covers 10-14 September.

Brazil invoked the bans after the Premier League stopped players from appearing for their country if it meant travel to red list countries.
Players travelling to red list countries would have had to miss several games on their return because of the 10-day isolation period required under UK rules.

In addition to missing their sides' weekend games, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva and Manchester United midfielder Fred will also not be allowed to play in their teams' opening Champions League games against Zenit St Petersburg and Young Boys next Tuesday. However, it is understood Brazil have not asked for Everton forward Richarlison to be prevented from featuring against Burnley on Monday. It is felt Brazil showed leniency in that specific case as Everton allowed Richarlison to play at the Olympic Games when the regulations did not force them to.

The move also affects three Liverpool players, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Alisson;

12 a side auction based franchise rugby anyone?

Plans have been unveiled for a new 12-a-side rugby competition proposed to take place in England next August. The new tournament, World 12s, is intended to feature 192 of the world's best players, picked via auction to represent eight franchises. World 12s Limited says the competition will take place over three weekends in a round-robin format before knockouts.

"World 12s is a natural evolution for rugby union," said the organisation's chairman, Ian Ritchie. "We feel that this is a game for our changing, fast-paced world that can excite a global fanbase in the way that we have seen with the IPL [Indian Premier League] or most recently The Hundred in cricket."

Ritchie, formerly chief executive of the Rugby Football Union, is joined on World 12's board by former Welsh Rugby Union chairman Gareth Davies and former New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive Steve Tew...

Q. What is the difference between 12s and 15s?
World 12s will follow the current Laws of 15s, but with a few exciting adaptations:

12 players in a team – six forwards and six backs
    15-minute halves
Conversions will be drop goals only
Only one scrum reset, followed by a free-kick
Scrum infringements are penalised by a differential penalty (a penalty that cannot be kicked at goal)
In the knockout stages, if matches are tied at full time, a golden point will decide the winner
