What odds the draw on this one?

Your life must be just fine if that's all that bothers you.

Who are the only TWO men to have won football all stars while never having played in croke park.

The great Maurice Fitzgerald won an All-Star (1988) before he made his Croke Park debut..if that is what you are asking.

Kerry's Connie Murphy is the only Kerry All-Star (1989) without an All-Ireland medal...maybe he is the second guy?

You'd think that whoever loses the Kerry/Cork clash could have a run of extra games through the qualifier route...I think they join the qualifiers in round two since their clash in early June is a provincial semi-final.

So Gooch or Goulding would be the choice following that logic.

A lot goes on the luck (or fix) of the qualifiers draw though.

DJ Carey 1992

First Goalkeeper I believe was John O'Leary

Was thinking Noel Skehan for first goalkeeper to 5 All Stars...question doesn't specify hurling or football.

Wouldn't do too well myself on these questions. First question is probably Limerick, Tipp and Wexford...so 3 is the answer.  Offaly brothers were 5 pair?

Anybody shed light on the rest?

Was it a pair of gloves he bought her?

That's an old comedy routine alright...I remember Brendan Grace doing it as an impersonation of Monica Carr.

Bonus marks for anyone who can tell me who Monica Carr is.

That's hilarious and he took the credit for it at the Bard of Armagh competition, but it was really well written ;D Thanks for that Ball Hooper, I must youtube it or look about somewhere for it! I tried looking up Monica Carr there, couldn't find anything on her...must have been before my time  ;D

Must have been the 70's when that radio show was on...it was hosted by Peter Murphy (of Cross Country Quiz fame). The more "mature" posters like myself will remember that Cross Country Quiz show...inter-county quiz held among Macra na Feirme members.

God, I'm old.  35 years ago or so.

QuoteCivil servants do not get good friday off.

Eh? Fairly sure they do in the south and I support 2 pubic servant bodies and they are bothoff  tomorrow and next Tuesday (privilege day!)

The Privilege day is a waste of Tax Payers money although the Dept of Finance has to be the biggest waste of money in the land, couldn't  forecast a reverse forecast in a dog race with only two dogs...

Nice one.

8.   What's the highest number of goals scored in an AIF?
(I meant total goals)
- 8 in 1977 and another year not answered

1948 Cavan 4-5 Mayo 4-4.  And Cavan conceded 4 goals to Louth in the semi-final as well.
