John Aldridge
Alan Hansen
Steven Gerrard

It would be great if Robbie could get a CL winners medal after missing out in 2005. Maybe he'll come on as a sub and score the winner deep in injury time of extra time! What a way to go!!!!  ;D

Did Syd get the ax from the forum?

In an interview in The Times yesterday the bloke that played President Palmer reckoned it was him paved the way for Obama to run for president as in 24 he was judged on his decisions and morals rather than his colour. I'm sure Obama is grateful...

So has he been banned then or not? There was a lot of arguing the toss on the "mudslinging" thread about who should be banned but did anyone get the chop?

Out of interest are there any rules on this forum i.e. 3 strikes and you're out? 2 yellows and you're off? or are bans just arbitrary depending on whether you're in "a clique" or not? Genuinely interested...

I couldn't build Lego so no!  ;D

It's on this November but it's is really oversubscribed year after year so unless you have the skill-set they are looking for you'll not be going. Only 20% of the applications are for office-based workers wanting to go and have a "life experience" but all these places have been filled. They're really only looking for blockies and plasterers.

I'm with Syd - I really don't know if I'll be able watch a final against Man Yoo without being sick with nerves!

I'm lost - what is the point of showing these photos? What is the conspiracy?

For what it is worth that's yer man in both pics.

I think after Ian Rush and King Kenny, Peter Beardsley was one of my favourite players. He always gave 100% unlike a lot of the wasters playing Premiership soccer these days.

QuoteTony Baloney you should be ashamed of yourself.

If you read what I posted you'll see that I was disputing the fact that managers should always defend their players in public even if they believe they have broken the rules of the game. I believe this is wrong as is the assertion by yer man above that your best players should always be on the pitch no matter what. What sort of message does that send out to young fans who look up to these people?

Probably somewhere you are familiar with. Armagh maybe for you as Newry etc. seem to be real hellholes to drive through.

Aye Syd wise up. You've probably only been supporting Liverpool since May 25th 2005. I reckon you've been a Leeds, Blackburn, Man United, Arsenal and Chelsea fan in the past  ;)

QuoteIs what you have said here not an example of good management? All managers should defend his players in public. Im sure Mulligan heard all about it behind closed doors.

Bullshit - even tossers like Mulligan are role models for schoolkids and if they act inappropriately by cheating, striking players etc. then the manager should publicly condemn them. If he believes that they were unjustly punished then publicly support them.

Mickey Harte is now the Jose Mourinho of the GAA!

I thought Bernard McHugh would have been a TD or mayor of Killybegs by now! Does anyone know where he is?
