I'm not opposed to bringing back a limited few previous players It would be good to see a committed Liam Kerr and Shealan Johnstone, and maybe I wouldn't mind seeing Ryan Johnstone back (not maybe for full games but perhaps as a controlling influence to help us close games out).
But I was wondering what do people who see more club games, and know the underage setup, think about who could improve the squad, or push into the match day team from the current squad? The obvious one is Finn Murdock from Rostrevor getting game time. But just wondering who might supplement RuaQuote from: PAULD123 on June 23, 2025, 09:36:58 AMWho could come in to strengthen the squad next year? Ruairi O Hare, Owen McCabe and Eamon Brown mightnt be far away if they can stay injury free and willing to commit. Certainly would add strength and size to the squad. Donal Scullion and Oisin Savage should both benefit from another years county training and hopefully be physically able to deal with intercounty game better. Tom McCarroll from Carryduff maybe worth a look also?
Quote from: Targetman on June 03, 2025, 01:18:50 PMWhy was there so many empty seats in the stand when it was apparently sold out, looking across from the terrace the far right section was empty, it filled up when they let the crowd in at half time.
Quote from: snoopdog on January 26, 2025, 10:48:07 PMDown conceded 2 dreadful goals in 1st half that ultimately killed them.
Roscommon are a good team. There was a performance from Down. I went to the Hyde expecting to lose but expected Down to sit back like they did against Armagh but they surprised me and better defending could've got a result.
Where were the johnsons today?
Sheelan is away to Australia, and Jerome isnt on the panel (same as last year). Only leaves Ryan.
Quote from: snoopdog on January 05, 2025, 12:58:02 PMWhy has McGovern gone? He was given plenty of oppurtunity last year to get up to speed. Pity if he jas walked away.
Would Mooney be an option as one of the 3 left up?
I think Doherty is too important to leave up there. The lad covers some amount of ground.
Looking fwd to going to the Hyde. Roscommon a decent team and would expect them to win but we need to get to the level of div2 quickly as we only have 1 home game remaining after game 3.
