Typical result for the team at the minute.

Capable of beating anyone on their day and capable of losing to pretty much anyone too.

Genuinely don't know what he does with the CMF. It was obvious even more so than the centre backs that this was the area that needed strengthening. But the question remains if the team had a world class holding mid fielder would that be enough to steady the ship or is it more a system thing?

What happens if United sit deep, absorb the pressure, hit Rashford on the break, and beat Liverpool at the weekend?

All forgiven?

That would be the best result for the chasing teams (not utd)

United don't struggle in these types of fixtures as they do with some of the others. The players know that no drop of performance level is acceptable in these games.

This is even more concerning when considering the manager, that he cant seem to find the level of consistency required to mount a challenge.

No sympathy for these big bars in the town especially with this price gouging.

There should have been a collective will between the hospitality sector in Belfast to make it an attractive night out and pricing is a big part of that. But instead they have gone for short termism and it is going to cost them.

Hopefully the locals are thriving in their place.

Dunloy I dont think even got out of 3rd gear, they just picked Rossa off clinically and showed their experience in doing so.

I think Rossa will learn a lot from making the final, was a lot of noise around them during the week and seems to have got to some of their players.

Some bad wides at the wrong time also zapped the confidence but you have to ask about the warm up, is 50 minutes not way over the top?

I've a feeling the venue is going to have a say in the Senior game.

Had it been in Ballycastle could see Dunloy running out easier winners, tighter pitch in Corrigan will make a battle of it which Rossa need. Intriguing one and difficult to call, won't be much in it either way.

£9 to sit in your own house and watch the games? Seriously what do you want?

Top service being provided by JQ, world wide access being provided to our games. I've been impressed with it every single time and the more they do it the more professional it gets.

From every account I have seen or read, Ronaldo is nothing but a positive influence around the training ground and the squad. Not just at United but other the other clubs he has been at, consummate professional. So any manager should be able to mould him into the squad.

Problem for Ole is that the same issue is cropping up time and time again, dominating games yet still not able to create enough chances to put teams away while on top. Match goes stale and end up conceding.

Too many games have gone this way  and it is starting to cause problems for Ole now.

1-0 defeat in a contest between two 2nd string sides.

Man United weren't shot shy tonight anyway with 27 shots on goal in total. West ham for 87 minutes of that match had one shot on target though they should have made it a 2-0 result with a couple of late opportunities on the counter attack.

De Beek, Dalot, Bailly, Matic played well and Greenwood was lively when introduced.

Dalot is very good going forward.  Van De Beek caught out for goal but was good on the ball.

It wasnt Donny caught out for the goal it was Telles, positioning was poor and was weak in the tackle more aggressive and he would have cleared it simple.

Mata was the most lively player on both sides in the first half, probably ran out of legs.
Donny grew into the game and you can see with more minutes he would improve give me him over Fred any day. He was caught a few times on the ball but that comes with lack of minutes. Some incisive passing from that position in mid field is exactly what is required against more than half the teams the team will face.

Reminded me of so many games last season, loads and loads of possession but no idea how to crack the back four, didnt help with Martial offering nothing in behind.

Poor result but surely should prove as a kick in the ass for more than a few of them.

Meant as De Beek following the and losing track of Lanzini.  Thought Sancho along with Tello could have done better on the wing in build up to goal.

He might have tracked better but the ball should never have reached there. Again with more minutes I think his reaction to these types of situations sharpens up.

Wonder would someone be good enough to take one player from that Tyrone team, pretty sure you could take any one of them.

Plot their journey from under age, the whole way through development squads, schools systems, college systems, finally into minor/ u20/ senior squads.

Track the amount of time spent on them at each of these stages by quality interventions, see the money it has taken to get them through the system to the All Ireland final day, track the man hours it has taken and the support around this system.

If you do that for one single player you will start to have an idea why we are so far behind and will continue to be so until the gap is addressed at all levels.

Gets worse....

https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/health/unvaccinated-mother-and-daughter-die-within-days-of-each-other-from-covid-19-in-same-hospital-ward-40856306.html

Surely these kinds of stories will be a catalyst for a percentage of anti-vaxers to wise up?

nope, they'll declare it's all lies, never happened, its made up, these people never existed or some other shit like that

Even more problematic in this case was that they both worked in Social Care, so they were in and out of the houses of some of the most vulnerable people in society as well as being unvaccinated. You couldn't write it at times.

Looking at his Twitter profile it would appear so :( Any which way very sad.

Very sad.

But also have to be questions asked as there seems to be some religious element to this. These fundamental churches here are preaching against it, which is wrong.

I now know of a number of these types of families that have ended up with several of them going down to it with, because of their beliefs.

Paul Hamill, former Mayor of Newtownabbey, has died of Covid.

He was previous noted for using the  Cúpla Focail at an Irish language event.

He doesn't look an old man by any means and obviously one capable to doing his job s mayor for all sides. RIP.
46 I think.

Anti-vaxer?

Poor result last night, but credit has to be given to YB's they were right at it and the United boys seems to be slightly below par.

The sending off so early was a blow and they did manage that pretty well until Jessie's lapse in concentration.

Maybe tactically it could have been managed better from the sideline, but I do think Ole has been waiting for an opportunity to trial playing 3 at the back for a different tactical approach.

St Johns the better side by far should have won by more.

Don't know what the comment about MO'N was about there was nothing in it either way and for once he called LG on a few tight calls, maybe they are just not used to that from him.
