A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "We recently suspended the market on the back of a flood of bets on Dermot McCabe." The spokesperson said that should McCabe win, their payout would be "large for this type of market".

At the time of the suspension McCabe was 1/2, in from 16/1 when the book was first opened.

Prominent Player had a right cut at Power in a tweet after Westmeath qualified for Leinster Final.

Andy McEntee will be Meath Manager.

Cavan will probably end up with someone like Dermot McCabe.

David Power was a dead man wallking after the infamous tweet.

Evans could do a job with Laois.

Roscommon got rid of John Evans and Liam Kearns the parents involved in the Coup must feel like right geniuses after Tipperary's success.

The ethical aspects of Bookmakers identifying customers by their handwriting and using online accounts to identify winners and close them down is also an issue.

GAA Discussion / Re: Mayo v Down NFL Division 1

Thought Nally was the pick of the backs, granted he gave away a terrible ball near the end when Clarke bailed him out. But won a tremendous ball in a ruck of players just after Paddy Durcan gave away the goal.

He won't be suited for every game but has s physical presence that Paddy lacks. Thought Boyler played too deep and is more suited to a man marking job than sweeper.

Agreed Seamus, needs to stop looking for contact. Jason Docs best game this year. Evan has really stepped up.

Moysider, 13 backs named and no mention of Shane Nally who has started every game.

We still have Stephen Coen to come back. We brought him on in an All Ireland Semi Final at Midfield only a few short months ago.

Misspelled his name.It is Padraig OHora.Played u21 in 2014 and was a Mayo news sports star nominee this year.Supposed to be strong and pacey and was selected at corner back today

I know. I was being sarcastic. Whatever about a misspelling in a programme the announcer at the game today called out his name wrong as well - twice. As you say, not like he came from nowhere.

Moy, ease up on the PRO his first day on the job. Most supporters know who O'Hora is. He done well today.

GAA Discussion / Re: 2016 Season Ticket
October 14, 2015, 06:50:43 PM
The Mayo Season Ticket option unavailable again, only €200 option of Club +. This looks like  a sweetheart deal between County Board and Croke Park to extract the maximum amount of money from Mayo Supporters. They are saying that the full allocation of season tickets has been taken for Mayo, in reality Club + means exactly the same thing to Croke Park only €101 extra. This suits both parties as the debt on McHale Park needs to be repaid to Croke Park. When Mayo people don't renew their season tickets how come these season tickets are not made available.

It is another sell out from our County Board simple as.

Its all right lads our Chairman has instigated a review of the year, where he will personally head a committee tasked with meeting his brother to review the year. There was as a review held recently with the Hurling Management.

Mayo News Last week "We're hoping Barry & Donie will be there next year too"

Mayo News This week "Pat & Noel were "hired" to do the Senior Team Job and its up to them to maintain the backroom team or re-appoint the various people involved there. We'll only be informed when it comes to ratifying appointments really".

Ok,Maybe a bit too cutting, but the fact remains a young lad was thrown into a completely alien position in our biggest game of the year for his championship debut. As for our player being dropped, that is part of life, and obviously we have no player in the top 34 players in the county, as the manager/managers have deemed them not good enough.

The counties themselves need to take responsibility for this for appealing these clearcut decisions in the first place.
Mayo and dublin this year and Tyrone, kerry and others inches past.
No one seems to be able to say,  fair cop and and take a justified suspension.

No they don't the GAA needs to take responsibility for never rewriting the Disciplinary Rulebook despite promising to do so on several occasions.
The buck stops with them
So you think Dublin were right to appeal this?
And mayo right to appeal keanes?

It is my information that the Mayo management did not want to appeal Kevin Keanes Red Card. He made it very clear that it was his decision and his decision alone if he would appeal.
