A mate has just bought the Sage Barista Touch. It's the absolute business.

Sage Barista Express. You can spend more for Touch or Oracle for the gadgets, but can't imagine the coffee will taste different albeit I'm sure they introduce a bit more automation to the process. Know a few people with them and say they're the business.
If you like coffee by the gallon I'd recommend getting a moka stove top pot.
Makes your kitchen smell great and the coffee is better than any capsule.
Just buy a french press for a few quid, and it's as handy as making tea from tea bags.
Sage Bambino Plus, along with the Sage grinder. Not having to manually steam the milk is great.

Have one of these, have it about 5 years now, great job - but, I thought I wanted a good coffee machine but in reality I know fek all about good coffee and would have probably gotten as much from a decent nespresso type machine, just worth considering how much of a coffee connoisseur you really are, as I had ideas above my station!
Can't get into coffee at all, just a taste that I can't get on with..
Like the idea of 'going for coffee' but end up with a cup of tea!

There is one in my work which has not been used since March last year.
All we need is a a crow bar, a few spanners and a low-loader.
Bought myself a De'Longhi Coffee Machine - after a recommendation from a co worker
Espresso/Double
Small Coffee/Large Coffee
Milk Frother
Think its the bees knees, I trial different types of coffee beans each week, could spend £10 on 1kg of Beans, do in and around 2-3 weeks. Its a great job, dont know why i didnt get one before now. Worth every penny - used to stop and get a coffee most mornings, absolute muck. Have a good travel mug.

Same as me. I like the idea of it but I just don't like hot drinks.
I've only really got into Coffee in the past few years (Cyclists are awful awful wankers about Coffee), you really don't be long spunking a lot of money on them on a daily basis, an Americano and my daily newspapers were regularly costing me £30-£40 p/w. For the New Year I've cut back and started buying those boxes of Lattes/Caupucinnos, does the job - but I'm not a fully fledged Coffee w**ker.

For me a cuppa tea is bliss, I'm resisting the chocolate this month, difficult especially when I've been flat out on chocolate over xmas!

Back in training, after a spell off with a damaged knee (wear/tear) never had beer belly before so its an interesting challenge
Had a De Longhi and loved it but it eventually packed in like these things always do after a few years continuous daily use. Loved it, especially recommend it for the latte-drinking liberal elites.
Have an Avanza series 600, doesn't miss a beat but too much pissing about to make a cappuccino or latte so I now only drink Americanos
I don't have a fancy machine but I love the coffee I get from using the aeropress. Get my coffee online from bailies coffee roasters.
The aeropress is a great job. Easy cleaned and portable enough.

just the man....i am partial to the odd cappucino and never touched coffee until a few years back, but now as one two above, am spending serious bucks monthly, so i either neither to cut right back or come up with cheaper alternative
is it possible, using the aeropress along with likes of a milk frother to produce anything decent in the way of flat white, latte , cappucino ??
dont think flat whites have been mentioned yet there, so just thought i would throw it into the mix lol

Couldn't be as bad as personal trainers and their coffee?
I have got onto coffee the last few years. We have a nespresso in the office I think it's nice but the coffee snobs will probably think it's like drinking dishwater. Around £3 or £4 for a pack of 10.
I would never have been much of a coffee drinker and even now wouldn't have it in the house as I like going out for a coffee. Wee place in Armagh called The Craic'd Pot does really nice coffee and would convert any non-coffee drinker. Far superior to the big high Street outlets.

The aeropress basically filters the coffee into your cup. Then you can go ahead and add frothy milk etc yourself if you wish.

I might be corrected here, but to get anything resembling a proper latte, cappuccino or especially a flat white, you need a proper steam wand... and therefore a proper barista machine. Still recommending the Sage Bambino Plus! £400 most places but I've seen it for sale from CloudPicker and another site in the south for €300...
I got the Bambino from cloud picker, great machine. Never any trouble with last 3 years now.
Any recommendations for coffee from local places that deliver. Like to try somethung different all the time
Got a new Breville barista max over the Christmas period. Had a Nespresso machine but wanted stronger coffee. Great machine at around £270 in the Black Friday sale on Amazon. Takes while getting used to trying to perfect it but once you get going.
breville do a good coffee machine, i got a breville one touch coffee house 4 years ago. Love it. Approx £200

Try New Kid Coffee - friends of mine started it, based down in Letterkenny but they will deliver to NI for free if you order over €30 or so. Really good.
I decide to stick with a Bialetti Mocha pot from Tk-Max for 20quid. Lovely smell in the house in the morning. good beans required though, Belfast Coffee roasters hard to beat.

They sadly don't do decaff, but I had a bag of their Christmas blend (any different to any other time of the year??) and it was nice.
Women at work got a pod coffee machine about 3 years ago. Don't think I've ever used it - don't see how those pods can be good for environment.
Prefer the coffee in coffee press actually. Love a café that does free filter coffee cup refills

I know nespresso send you a bag to gather up the empty pods and they then collect them and I assume reuse them again. Doing their bit for the environment that way.
I'm happy enough with Nescafé gold blend but can't stomach a lot of the travel cups. Can't smell the coffee and either the tin or plastic smell.
Any recommendations?

Buy yourself a Chilly's mug.
I have the Barista Touch. Makes great espresso, although it's not the hottest coffee.
We've settled on the Brazil Sans, i like to make it fairly strong then stretch it with a little hot water, topped off with a wee dab of double cream.
I've been using the delonghi dedica for about a year now. Cant fault it really. I'm not fussed on measuring out the coffee etc but I find that it makes a decent espresso. Good enough for me anyway. I thought I would have used the steam wand more when I was buying it but I tend to just stick with espressos or americanos. Not that pricy and doesn't take up much counter space.
It can use ese pods too but I have never tried that.
I have the Delongi Magnifica S for over a year and I love it. I took the outer bit off the steam wand and it works much better. It's easy to clean and there is plenty of adjustment of grind, temperature, strength etc if you can be bothered. I use the Supervalu own brand Italian roast beans at €2.89 a bag and it's as good as anything I've tasted anywhere. Maybe I don't have a very sophisticated palate ;D

a serious coffee machine with Supervalu coffee is like a Porsche on Triangle tyres ;D
I got an aero press there over Christmas, great job, takes no time and easy clean up
