Sligo 3
Ros 2
Mayowestros 2*
Galway 1
Leitrim 0*

*1 game played.

Probably all go to the wire like the U20.

Quote from: Tony Baloney on April 18, 2024, 08:07:18 PMThe Layla outro in Goodfellas is iconic.

Brilliant piece, both the music and the scene in the film.

Although large part of the credit for ithe music goes to others. Think it was the drummer who wrote it and played piano on it. And on both parts of the song, Duane Allman's guitar was at least as prominent as Clapton's.

Twice under Klopp.

Pipped by a point both times on the final day.

Quote from: NAG1 on April 19, 2024, 11:01:36 AMSay it quietly around the Reds on here, but if Klopp goes this season without winning the title will his tenure be deemed as an underachievement?

After all they have been the best team in the world since he took over  ;)

Granted they ran into a City team in their prime, but one Covid EPL title seems to be underwhelming.

Unpopular opinion I'm guessing.

1 league title
1 champions league
1 super cup
1 club world cup
2 league cups
1 fa cup

That's assuming we don't win the league this year, which admittedly is a big ask.
Compare that to the 9 years previous, or even the 9 years before that. He's done well.
Klopp will always be a legend. He gave us a ridiculous amount of moments that will never be forgotten. It is a shame that he came up against 115 charges FC in his tenure which made winning the league nigh on impossible and who knows, if they do throw the book at city in years to come, what he achieved may be more appreciated.

How many times did Liverpool come second in the league to City?

I as chatting to a retired district nurse the other day, retired a while ago, has been tortured to go back and help out, show the ropes get them up to speed for the role she retired from. Back doing 3 days a week

Another friend (shows my age) retired from the Lisburn city council, they haven't been able to fill her role and been asked to come back, consultant wise to help out and train others to do the job she done..

Either people being employed nowadays in the public sector are complete fuckwits or no one has a fecking clue to run a department

Worked years ago with complete charlatan, wormed his way into a job as the place needed a skill set that was missing, within weeks was made full time and in management, deployed his roles to others and went on to rob the place blind, that's a side issue though to my point lol

Point being some people work harder to do less work! If that makes sense!

Quote from: tyrone08 on April 19, 2024, 06:44:38 PMThe simple solution is to run the nhs as if it were a private hospital i.e run it efficiently.

Increasing funding for GPs to reduce the strain on a&e. Alot of people use the a&e because they cant get a gp appointment.

Bring in a surcharge for using a&e for non emergencies say a £50. A&Es should only be used for acutal emergencies i.e broken bones, life threatening emergencies etc.

Increase healthy eating and health awareness in schools from primary school up. Uk and Ireland eating habits are horrible compared to almost every eu country.

The above would sort most of the issues
People yap about management in the NHS as if doctors and nurses should be managing an annual budget of £180 billion and 1.5 million employees. It has to be managed as a business.

One of Liverpool's greatest managers, end of story.

Without him, City would be heading for seven in a row. No one else has even run Pep close, never mind taken him to the final day. Plus, three CL final appearances, one won.

Underwhelming me arse.

Leicester not win one during pep's time?

Pep joined City year after.. Conte (Pep's 1st Season) and Klopp only managers to beat City to the title

Ah.. some record all the same, regardless of the dough

Has anyone picked up gaa go this year? Is it worth 79 euro for a handful of Munster and Leinster hurling championship games and the dross on the football side of things?
