General discussion / Re: New Car Advice
« on: Today at 05:53:41 AM »
Iím gonna change the car in a few weeks but havenít decided what to get. I like those new Hyundai Tucsonís but theyíre only available in petrol. Iím also going to have a look at one of the new type Ford Kugas and while I like the Seat Alteca thereís very few of them about. My issue is that I donít know what the future will hold for diesel cars in 4 years time when Iím changing again. Any advice??

If you like the Ateca, take a look at the Skoda or Karoq or the Tiguan too. They're 95% the same car. Bought a Karoq in June as our first family car and I'm very happy with it.

Over here, obviously SEAT is incredibly popular, but it seems like half the cars on the road these days, and an even larger proportions of new ones, are crossover SUVs.

Jameis definitely looked more like his old self. Couldn't resist an ill-judged heave.

Derrick Henry is a monster.

Lamar is a generational talent and anyone who says otherwise has nothing to point to other than race, exposing themselves for what we all know then to be.

What year was he diagnosed? Lived past normal expectancy?

Couldn't tell you the details but feels like it. Incredible human being. RIP.

British citizen avails of NHS. Shocker.

British Citizen who voluntarily and illegally entered a war zone to side with a murderous Islamic death cult has medical bills paid for by taxpayer

I didn't realise criminals or suspected criminals were barred from availing of services offered by the NHS. Can you point to the legislation that bans it please?

Absolutely..... happy to oblige

If you commit treason or espionage you can have your citizenship revoked which would then disqualify you from availing of NHS services

https://whsolicitors.co.uk/can-british-citizenship-taken-away/

And has the individual you're referring to had her citizenship revoked? Or been so much as charged with an offence?

No, so shut the f**k up.

Watched the North Water there... it's grim and Colin Farrell's accent is well I don't really know what it is but it was enjoyable and each episode is quite long so will fill a bit of time I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10.

It was on in America earlier in the summer so you can get the whole lot.

Where's the stock from? They really need to clamp down on some of the advertising and labeling laws about whiskey. Distilleries and bonders can source stock from any distillery they want and package it up whatever way they like.

I think the boom in Irish whiskey at the minute is absolutely fantastic but almost everything in a bottle labelled "Irish whiskey" right now is still coming out of Midleton, Bushmills or Cooley. You'd be hard pressed to know that from some of the labels, especially some of the new distilleries as they sell stock from somewhere else whilst waiting for their own to age.

"He should have blown on 5 mins of injury time"

Why??? He's under no obligation to. The added time is always referred to as "a minimum of..." They was a VAR check after the 90. If you're crying about 21 seconds you need a long, hard look at yourself.

In 2001, Ireland  beat Netherlands 1-0. Jason McAteer scoring the winner.

20 feckiní years! Scary.

2nd half shown on the big screen at Slane...brilliant. McAteer's goal replayed again and again.

is that the game Keane hammered somebody right at the beginning? Mind the goal well

Keane took Overmars out first tackle. Kluivert put up a token effort of protest without wanting to get involved with Keane.

The tackle has been mythologised I'm Irish sporting history as some sort of Titanic event where Keane took out their most dangerous player. In reality, Overmars was done and had a great game.

Flew from BCN back to Belfast last Thursday. Pre departure PCR, double jabbed with European cert and passenger locator form all uploaded to Ryanair in advance. Checking in in BCN I was asked for PCR result and passenger locator form. On arrival in Belfast City, was only asked for passport. Border Force guy said they had it all already. Only way they could have had my covid cert was if airline gave it to them. Dunno if that's happening.

Same as Rois and probably a bit more extreme. My wife spent six months of pregnancy in one lockdown or another and the first year of my daughter's life was spenr without seeing any of her family except one of her grandfathers who came to visit for four days in June. He was double jabbed and quarantined for 10 days when he got home. Rules would have allowed us to come at umpteen points during the pandemic but we decided to wait it out and thought it best to wait until we were both double jabbed and there was a framework in place to enable vaccinations records to be recognised. We got home and her grandparents got to meet her two weeks before her 1st birthday. Tell me again what's unnecessary.

Also, Randox are f**king hoors. Only drop off points they have for their day 2 testing kits are in Holywood, Crumlin or Antrim. Stick one in Belfast you absolute gowls

With all the talk of cramp, was there any word on what happened Clifford? Commentary kept referring to cramp but it happened after Morgan went through him (completely fairly) and connected, I think, with his hip. I had assumed dead leg but that didn't come up at all in any of the discussion of it.

When he was sitting in the stand , he had an ice pack on his thigh, so Iíd say he got a clip going for the ball with Morgan.

He definitely got it when Morgan beat him to the ball. My point is that an impact injury like that (I think from Morgan's hip) far more likely to be a dead leg than cramp. A dead leg has nothing to do with conditioning.
