this probably isnt a bad thing for toal. it means he gets to play more games for his club which should help his recovery. give him a year at playing club football and see how he gets on...

Sorry for butting in, but Paddy Curran and Tommy Walsh and maybe David Moran from the Kerry minors this year will be closely watched over the next few seasons to see if they can build on their potential.

tommy walsh was brilliant in the minor final this year. i'd say he'll soon make the step up to senior (totally based on that one performce  )

Any word on the young lad from Clans who was called up to the Seniors last year only to suffer a bad fracture/break.  Sorry, his name escapes me at the moment, but he had been touted as a tenacious wing-back.

thats him alright. he didnt break his leg, he done the ligaments in his knee. he's more of a corner back than wing back... but as for the question. i've heard no word of him getting a call up to the county team this year.

i was thinking that too uladh. i dont know the fella so i cant comment but i would have expected a lot of defensive posts on this topic from the harps members (especially since there are so many of them on the board)

Don't have any sources at hand to check the details, but they still talk in Donegal about a league semi-final in the late 60s (against Longford, I think) where Donegal were awarded a penalty, the wind blew the ball off the spot, and the referee awarded a free-out! I think it cost Donegal the game.
