Revisited The Shining last night. First watch in maybe 20 years. Still a sublime performance from Jack Nicholson - and have a bit more sympathy for Shelly Duvall's efforts after learning more of what Kubrick put her through during the shooting of the movie. 5 star psychological horror for it's time.

Great I'm really looking forward to this one!

Seen photos of Efron - he must have been on some serious bulk for it!

Didn't work for me at all.  Had to turn it off after about a half an hour.

American Fiction is decent.

What is Dune like? The 2nd one is coming out soon and I like the look of the trailer but I haven't watched the 1st one. I tried reading the 1st book about a year ago but gave up on that.

First one was ok. Not fantastic, but definitely watchable. Will watch the 2nd when it's out, but not counting the days to it by any means.

Seen Independance Day in a movie theatre in New Jersey.
At the end members of the audience shouted ''Go USA!''

I seen In the Name of the Father in Letterkenny a few years previous where members of the audience applauded and cheered stuff like '' F*ckin' right yeah!''.

Oh, the difference between reality and fantasy.  ;D

Milltown Row2

Watched Oppenheimer the other night, thought it was very good and while I knew the general history behind his involvement, this gave a bit more depth about him.

Got round to watching Aftersun. A very impactful film, a beautifully made emotional slow burner. A great movie.

Watched The Gift on iPlayer the other night.

A terrific film, well worth a watch.

Just started watching hunger games with the kids, on the fourth one now.

Cillian Murphy is 1/18 on to win an Oscar tonight for his role in Oppenheimer.  Christopher Nolan 1/80 for best director and best picture Oppenheimer is 1/100 to win.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
