The winds of change.

But will you still have situations where Monaghan, Cavan and Donegal have a weather warning but Fermanagh doesn't?

Things like the Met Office, the Ordnance Survey, the Geological Survey that deal with geography should be all Ireland bodies.

The hottest temperature since records began in NI has been provisionally recorded this afternoon at the wonderfully named Ballywatticock in Co. Down, with a measurement of 31.2°C - the old record stood at 30.8°C.

Next townland to the equally wonderfully named Ballyalicock...

Which reminds me of the postman who used to get his words mixed up. On this occasion he was delivering the post one particularly cold, icy morning, when  he bumped into a neighbour and greeted her with a cheery:
"Hard old Cox this morning, Mrs. Frost!"
"If you come in here again, you'd better bring guns"
"We don't need guns"
"Yes you fuckin' do"

D'north's high temperature record broken again today - 31.3C in Castlederg.

Castlederg also holds the record for the minimum. It is a place of extremes!
