Might have something to do with less pollution in the air?

Not your typical boffin's answer. I was thinking more 50 year patterns and shifts in air streams etc.

More likely nature making amends after an atrociously wet winter and early spring.

My mate says it's something to do with the 5G masts and all making the planet warmer and cloud-bursting clouds . Kate Bush predicted this. Wilhelm Reich also sang a song about it and about Kate Bush's involvement with cloudbursting. Later after both their deaths it turned out that Reich used to lock Bush in a cupboard that gave her orgasms.

Wasn't sure what I'd find on the Weather thread but it wasn't this.

Met Éireann website now includes details of weather warnings in place in NI...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-53067728

Quote
The move, by the Irish national weather service, Met Éireann, aims to ensure that those who commute or travel cross-border can access the latest warnings.

It is part of a series of upgrades to its warnings page, which are being implemented this week.

Head of Forecasting Evelyn Cusack said the proposal was approved after being discussed with the UK Met Office.

The organisation collaborates closely with the Met Office which will maintain responsibility for issuing severe weather warnings for Northern Ireland.

It says it may also include warnings issued by Met Éireann in the Republic of Ireland in the future.

The winds of change.

But will you still have situations where Monaghan, Cavan and Donegal have a weather warning but Fermanagh doesn't?

Things like the Met Office, the Ordnance Survey, the Geological Survey that deal with geography should be all Ireland bodies.
