Still cats and dogs here! Fed up looking out at it! The children built every piece of Lego in the house today. What the hell are they going to do tomorrow?

it was notable today that there was a band of heavy showers diagonnally from Limerick to Belfast, but little enough north and south of that.

But the big rain is coming

Some flooding in the north west. Bridges swept away, landslides, homes and businesses destroyed. Not nice at all.

Was travelling through it yesterday and it was very difficult to say the least!!!

Much worse though for those whose homes/businesses were affected. Carrickmore/Beragh/Drumquin/Institute were very badly hit a huge blow to those clubs!!

I have never witnessed rain like it on Tuesday. Unbelievable. To make matters worse there has been a further weather warning issued for the North for heavy rain and lightning to midnight tonight.

You get these storms in August, thirty years ago this week was Hurricane Charlie in Dublin and the bridges were washed away in Wicklow.
