McQuillan with 2-3 for Queens in the sigerson semi final, if anyone thinks he doesn't warrant a starting spot/more than 10 mins for county people needs there heads checked

Miles behind others like Tyrone and Armagh and Derry in terms of better coverage of all grades, and the coverage itself.
Jerome does great work Camera wise, but feel he shouldn't be let near a microphone.![]()
It's hard to ignore how disappointing Jerome Quinn's live coverage of Antrim GAA has become. Too often the commentary feels rushed, lacking in real analysis or insight, and the professionalism simply isn't where it should be for our county.
Antrim GAA deserves better than surface-level play-by-play — players, clubs, and supporters deserve coverage that captures the intensity, tactics, and stories that make our games what they are.
Instead of settling for low-quality output, why not raise the standard? Proper preparation, sharper analysis, and a genuine commitment to showcasing all aspects of Antrim GAA would transform the coverage. If we're serious about growing our games and inspiring the next generation, the live stream should reflect the pride and quality of our county, not undermine it.
Are you giving off about Jerome, Antrim or both?
Jerome's not good on the comms. Ok we can all agree on that but he's getting paid and I'm sure he's happy enough with that. The video quality is good but unless he's going to pay people to come in and do the commentary it'll always be subjective to what people want.
Jerome doesn't understand football enough from a coaching perspective to give sharper analysis but is analysis really what people want to hear about during a game?
There was once a famous football commentator who said "you call what you see"
Analysis is for after the game or maybe half time not during the game when really they should be trying to communicate what's going on to the audience not give opinions

They're a better team than most at senior. The simple solution is to completely separate league and championship. An even more simple solution is keep Dunloy in the intermediate until they decide to put more effort into the league. The special treatment given here is scandalous. Our reserves were told they couldnt enter Div 2 as the league structures were set in stone until 2026, then they discover Dunloy have been parachuted into Div 1. Only in Antrim
Quote from: Silver hill on November 10, 2024, 05:43:27 PMIf Cargin want to go further than first round exits in ulster every year then they have to change their approach. Way too defensively minded and only interested in containment instead of creating enough chances to actually win the game.Completely agree they do not have the killer instinct in ulster
Errigal won pulling up because they scored 15 times and had maybe another 10-12 wides. Cargin score 8, only a few from play and less than 5 wides. That will never be good enough at that level. Handling was atrocious as well.
Quote from: EOC1923 on November 05, 2024, 02:30:37 PMAre Cargin folding at the end of this season? That's a shame 🤣

What's the alternative? Half the clubs involved are dual so there needs to be an allowance for that. I think it's better this way than last year when they ended up squeezing in a Wednesday - Saturday game week while everything else was 2 week gaps across football and hurling?
