Would Hearts winning the league actually help Celtic in the long run?

If Celtic win it with all the issues the team has had, management issues and squad mismanagement/lack of investment - would it leave the board thinking they got it right anyway and O'Neill saved the day.

Has there been any confirmation of the new manager?

Wasn't a frequent attender. It was for the unsophisticated palates from Tyrone, Armagh and Derry. I was more of a Dukes man myself.
Dukes.....now you're talking. Lived in Ireton St just down the road. Think I was in it 3 nights a week every week for pints of Smithwicks. Great times.

I was there 99 - 03. Renshaws or Dukes Monday and Tuesday, Bot Wednesday and Eg Thursday.

Fantastic performance and win from the lads. I thought when Donegal pulled back the 5 point lead we were in trouble but fair play the lads stood up and went at it again. That's the best win since Kerry in 2010 for me.

Love the shitthousery. Kildare support starting to get giddy with a leinster final against Louth in sight.

Giddy? Gawd no. That Kildare team haven't a hope of getting to a Leinster final. Zero chance.

If Kildare get beat they should have to play off with Meath for a place in the All Ireland - it's the only fair outcome

Brilliant film!

Yes - complete surprise one. Watched it last weekend.

Yes, watched it over the weekend too, superb
In the cinema or the comfort of your own home?  ;)

In the house...good copy too on the old thingy
Been checking flat out over the last 2 weeks and currently not showing up on "my friend's" Firestick.

The one I found had Arabic subtitles - really good quality though.

Slurry tank emptied on the road.
Police investigating.
Video going around showing a young lad getting out of a car and opening it for a laugh, farmer wouldn't have been aware.

How did he know it was full of slurry and who goes on a protest with a load of slurry in the tanker considering the price of fuel?

Going on the flow that the video showed I'd say it was stuff left in the bottom of the tank. There would have been a lot more pressure if he had a full tank.

Quote from: smort on March 30, 2026, 07:57:40 AMIs Murphy going to get away with this? Is there anything that says decisions can be looked at retrospectively?

The whole country has seen him box the head, and ribs, off Dylan Casey and because Gough gave him a yellow, nothing can be done??

Would be an argument for VAR

The GAA stance on incidents like this has been pathetic over the years, cant see it changing now. Unfortunately it is going to take a serious injury in order to change it. All this talk about sportsmanship, respect etc and they allow players to get assaulted on the pitch.

I think once given a card, then that was that. Maybe I'm wrong?

But the closed fist to the ribs was just as bad. Referees will be all over him now in championship with all this hulabaloo now abut it. About time.

I just wish a manager would be honest. Could Mc Guinness not just say yeah, poor attempt at a so called tackle? Was a red card. End of.

Murphy been a tr**p for years on the field and the refs worship the ground he walks on, can't see it changing unless there is a media pile on, but he's their darling so I doubt it.

Any other player on the field would have been sent off for that. He got away with 2 incidents against Down last year. It'll be interesting to see will that decision catch him out later in the year, a soft red because the refs this weekend got a backlash for letting him off.

Very poor 2nd half. Lucky not to lose it. Wexford looked they had an extra man.

Costs include credit hire, credit repair and solicitors costs.

that is surprising as anything above the cost of the car they declare as write off as its cheaper then repairs and ongoing legal fees, what was the other car worth?

Crash would have milked it, courtesy car (that they provide) while your mans car getting fixed etc

If an insurance company appointed body shop get a non fault claim they'll take the piss completely. I clipped a guy in a jag jeep a couple of years ago. There was more damage to my car and it came back at £2,400 or in that region, new door and sprayed down the side. His came back at 7.5k and there wouldn't have been a panel replaced on his if it was the other way round.

Would there be quotes put out for tenders or is it just a closed shop whereas someone from an insurance company takes a bung from a local car repair dealer as that is scandalous

From the experience I have had if you claim off your own insurance you have to use their approved repair companies so they can keep control of costs and they'll only fix what's necessary. If you are the non blame party you can ask for whoever you want to do the repairs and if they can 'justify' the costs that's all that matters. If you say I want those panels and 2 doors replaced instead of fixing the existing ones there's not much you can do about it.

Bit of collector's item that one. Is that an A grade/ seriously competed for competition?

I don't know how serious schools take it but it is A grade. St Pats got to the semi final of the Corn na nOg last year so they're not miles off. St Pats Cavan and St Pats Maghera would be the 2 big teams at that age.

That would be what was the old Brock Cup

Yes - it's the A grade for year 11s (4th years in old money)

Quote from: AustinPowers on March 03, 2026, 12:12:58 AMOil prices shooting up  like mad

Luckily I topped up  the  tank  to near full last week

I'd say the diesel and  petrol will be up as well

Topped up my tank last week 300 litres for 300€, checked today to see how much 300 litres is,  400€ and expected to rise further.  Middle East war with a clown of American president getting involved has played no small part in that.

500 litres  was £300, today it's reported to be £475 in  some places.

It will probably  only get higher

I got 600l for 366 last week - the same place was charging 622 for 600l yesterday
