Quote from: Ryan O on October 30, 2025, 07:37:54 PMThere's a couple of St Bridgids men on the panel.

I thought Charlie had good championship lacked some help for Bellaghy but definitely looked like good forward.

Hard to justify Anton Tohill being there played one game since Derry season ended although he is a serious athlete.

Does Ryan Mc Nicholl from Glenullin deserve a chance?

Yes both Matthew and Shae Downey back on the panel. Heard that bridges were starting to be built with them and Lavey. Path being created for their rightful return.

Heard a similar rumour at the weekend that the Downey's could be back at Lavey at some stage. Thought it would be impossible to come back from.

James Murray added also.

The word is that nothing is coming from Ruairi Forbes in the AFL, didn't finish in the top 10 in any of the combine tests, so hopefully he will be about.

Lynch out until May/June with hip surgery - so need to get the GK situation sorted early.

McKinless & McCloskey back fully fit will be some boost.

Fire up some names there toby

With the McKenna cup making a return it'll be a good opportunity to get a look at a few.

6 or 7 called up between the 2 finalists, including Shea McGuckin in nets. Jack Doherty Glen, Sean Kearney Swatragh. Not sure how many will commit though.

Anyone's house insurance take a big jump this year? Mine went up 25%, is that standard at the minute?

Quote from: ck on October 02, 2025, 05:47:13 PMHearing the Downeys are causing problems at their Belfast club. Shae called a meeting and got the manager out as he didn't play the brothers. Always hard to know what to believe but that's what they are saying over on the Antrim page.

The Downeys should do the right thing and return to Lavey.
.

Is the chance of return zero? From an outsider the return of the downeys would add to the Derry championship

What would it add? How many games have they played between them in 2-3 years?

Quote from: paddyjohn on September 17, 2025, 12:23:52 PMDunloy V Portglenone should be in Ahoghill. Cargin V Creggan should be in Portglenone.

Final in Ahoghill, the price of fuel and everything else we should be forced to drive to the City.

Draw made on Sunday and the fixtures still not released on a Wednesday. How could it possible take this long.

Quote from: Ryan O on September 15, 2025, 12:42:26 PMHas anyone seen a player who they think should/ could push for county spot, Niall Toner sometimes got criticism along with Dec Cassidy but when you see them in a club game they are streets ahead of the majority.

Watched him vs Magherafelt and he wasn't involved at all, missed an easy free too. Ciaran Henry at 6 was impressive that evening.

Was at 4 Tyrone championship games at the weekend, I don't think Niall Toner would be in the top 20 forwards in Tyrone, and that is no dig at Niall at all, but after Shane McGuigan we are really lacking scoring forwards and i'm not sure where we can get a few of them.

it hasn't ignited at all, and can't see the next round being too exciting either if i'm honest.

Looks lined up for 2 good semi finals though.

Bit of a journeyman now.

He should get a boost of confidence off that goal. Tounekti looked quality. Apart from that it was fairly poor again.

Rangers a mess.

Has Ethan Jordan ever been up at the county? Or been on Minor/u20 set ups?

His scoring in the league was phenomenal this year.

Quote from: Ryan O on August 30, 2025, 11:22:07 PMThe quality of football has definitely increased bit unfortunately the level of our officials maybe not. The amount of shouting from managerial teams for the 3 up rule is shocking and really needs knocked on the head.

For a breach is it a free on half way or 13 yards I've lost track at this stage?

You have the choice. You can take a 13m free, guaranteed point. Or bring it out to 40m and risk 2 points.
