Relegate them surely but play the games.   Allow any relegated team next year the chance to elect to play in the O Neill Cup or even both, Obviously Moy and Cookstown etc will be trying to win all Irelands so  I would imagine they would not be taking up the option.   ;)

Surely the majority of division one and two clubs will choose option A, players and supporters are all crying out for competitive football, for the good of everybody mentally and physically we must get good GAA games going as soon as we are allowed, yes it's tough on one or two clubs but there will be plenty of time for them to build up points later on the season with their full team. The other two option basically have nothing for players until Tyrone are out which is going to be late July or August, maybe even end of August. The soccer clubs would be running their hands with the influx of new players

I can't see it. You'll have Trillick, Coalisland, Dungannon, Galbally, Errigal, Edendork etc who will not play that many starred games with the real possibility of getting relegated. It'd be at least 60% of points/game without their County players.
Would all those teams not rather 4 relegated from 18 in the full league rather than 2 from 9 in the split option? Better chance with the full league you would have thought.
1A - Killyclogher, Errigal Ciaran, Dungannon, Carrickmore, Moy, Pomeroy, Ardboe, Loughmacrory.
1B - Galbally, Coalisland, Dromore, Clonoe, Trillick, Omagh, Donaghmore, Derrylaughan.
2A - Edendork, Rock, Stewartstown, Greencastle, Moortown, Owen Roes, Naomh Eoghan, Tattyreagh
2B - Eglish, Aghyaran, Beragh, Aghaloo, Clogher, Gortin, Strabane, Augher

Looking at the draw from the groups last year I can't see why any team would be looking for the split league option, its a big risk to take relying on a good draw.
1B for example last year is a very tough group to try and get out of the bottom 2.
You get tough draw this year and relegation becomes a real possibility wheras the full league is a more level playing field, everyone plays everyone, its all in your own hands as its all about the results you get rather than the draw you get.

You do know they both have won an All-Ireland in their recent history?

skeog

The past when they had players who were well above Intermediate standard.

As far as I know in Junior

Eskra have conceded to Kildress already and due to this result only game of significance left before final is Kildress v Kileeshil to determine who will play Cookstown in final

GetOverTheBar

Kildress will hardly field then, that would put Cookstown automatically up without kicking a ball.

Kildress have to play and beat Killeeshil first?

GetOverTheBar

If they don't field against Kileeshil, Cookstown will have to beat Kileeshil to get to Intermediate. If Kildress play against them first and you would think they will win.....they would promote Cookstown by that win.

Kileshill would be the only one out of the group of teams that would have any earn going to Division 2 at the minute

If that's the case, then the top placing is solely between Killeeshil & Kildress - but it would have to assume that Drumragh would concede to Killeshil we and Glenelly would concede to Kildress (both likely) for the tie to determine who would face Kildress in the league final.

I wouldn't take that as read

Will they commence with the starred games soon?
Or is it likely to be June to November?
