Club midfield battle of the day will be in Division 2 were Augher who have Aidan Cassidy and Aidan'turnip'McElroy against the Cavanaghs of the Moy. People on here and Tyrone fans in general will be aware of the Cavanaghs and Cassidy but the man they call 'turnip' who has not played for Tyrone at any level is a very underrated player. If i was to describe turnip it would be the aerial prowess of Paul McGrane, the direct running of Kevin mcmanamon, the physicality of Bellew but most of all the work rate of Dooher. Aidan was in Australia for a year playing and duly won the NSW senior player of the year as was voted by fellow players from the 32 counties of Ireland. I'm sure lads over there would be asking the question there's a boy would do a job for us. Its players like the 'Turnip' I go to watch games!
Great post Turnip :)

RHTOM, what is ur suspicion? do you think a tyrone senior player actually sent this email?

I've nothing to base this on but my gut instinct tells me that no player sent an email. There are factions at county board level and I suspect this could be one of them trying to stir it up and expose things that are normally kept quiet.

The Newstalk report specifically said it was verified with a phone call to a member of the panel. There's no reason to doubt that. I know I heard of similar reports especially regarding mileage rates and expenses going back 4-5 years. It is odd that Jordan in particular was mentioned, I'd have thought the Treasurer might have taken more off the stick

I can't understand why the players are complaining, lots of club players have to make a contribution towards the cost of the manager. With the size of the backroom team there are obviously big salaries (expenses) to be paid.
Wholly concur

Is there anyone on here who can explain to me what Conor Clarke has to offer, the man is actually struggling to play well at club for a few years now never mind being the standard of county. When I think of the likes of Dan Mc Nulty sitting at home who can offer us size and power in a ff line whilst we run out a player clearly not at this level. Bewilderingly to say the least.

I think it's about time someone told Clarke to lay off the gym, he comes back bigger and more immobile everytime he returns from injury.

A shame as he looked a great prospect when he burst on the scene but the injuries look to have done for him.

Wasn't he on the back page of the Irish News last year saying that he knew he needed to lay off the gym?

Gareth Bale undergoing ankle surgery this week as well-expected to be out for 3-4 months. Welsh game in Dublin is 24th March

Was over in Vienna for the game. Great result, first half performance was iffy at best. McClean has really come of age. Dont know what it looked like on the TV but was an unreal atmosphere, must have been 4K Irish there between the away end and those who got tickets for the away end. Avoid defeat against Wales next and depending on other results should at least be a top 2 finish

What about castlederg do they not have a game in hand to replay which was called off?

This game in hand was the Clann na Gael game, which was abandoned in the final minutes of the match with Castlederg losing by a few points. County Board declared it null and void, Castlederg appealed it to the Ulster Council. Think they have also taken this appeal to Croke Park to get it replayed. Croke Park would be setting a dangerous precedent if this appeal was to be successful-surely would mean that any team losing by a couple of points in injury time could start a row in an attempt to get a game abandoned-knowing that it will be replayed??

Is there any logical reason why the final round of division 3 fixtures are not being played to the 23rd October, as opposed to next weekend? I know Rock will be playing in the Ulster Club next weekend-but they are already promoted and their game against Killyman has zero significance whatsoever in relation to the playoffs. Surely 23rd would have been a good weekend to start junior reserve championship

It was the linesman who told the referee what Peter had done a young lad who seems to have a lot of controversy follow him around.

Anyway, there was some action in the Junior league today as well, Castlederg dropped a point at Newtownstewart but the title is still in their hands if they win their remaining games, whereas T***yreagh say top for now with a win over Glenelly. Rock perhaps not surprisingly fielded a weakened team against Brocagh. Beragh and Owen Roes are definitely through to promotion play-offs, Rock will likely join them if they lose the JFC final - the final spot could be any between Brocagh, Drumragh, Clogher or Newtownstewart.

Not in Castlederg's hands. One of their remaining games is the abandoned game v CNG which has been voided. However it's now with Ulster to determine.

Div 3 to be decided in the appeals room this season.

Ulster Council rejected their appeal according to the Tattyreagh lads

If the Junior Final isn't for until Start October why did they make these 2 teams play Midweek in that Wind Farm!! surely they could've played this weekend

Was anyone at it?? What was conditions like??
Possibly because there are league games fixed for this weekend
