The IVF bill would be bigger than the RHI for anything to happen on that front

What's the latest with using torrents?  I haven't had the need to use them for ages having switched to Kodi for all TV/movie content, however I need a piece of software and had real difficulty finding and accessing the usual sites like piratebay and kickass because of the new google restrictions and my internet provider blocking them.

Are they as good as finished or has something else replaced them? What have people switched to?

Probably of little use to you giving you the name of another streaming service that works better but I've ranted about GaaGo for years as its simply not fit for purpose.

I got a full setup on an android box with an app called HDSubs that is around $300 per year for full package including SkySports, BBC, ITV(incl. iplayer, etc), sky movies, the list goes on. Its all ondemand as well which is good for watching the sunday game on a monday evening after work.  The other advantage being it's set up for kodi as well.

Going back the main point, go to the HDSubs website and download the app on any android device and get a free 3 day trial and check it for yourself.  Much more reliable in my service and if you are interested in the full package hit up techshop media on facebook for it.  They are english guys who specialise in getting UK tv abroad but it does include RTE 1 and 2 in HD.  I believe this works in any country.

I'm in brisbane and my download speed is only 6/7mbps but it runs fairly problem free

GAAGO is absolute shite.  Feed the diaspora or lose out forever.  20mbps service here which is good enough for netflix etc and yet it is still buffering every 20s. I dont mind paying a full price per ticket but this service is complete crap.  In australia now, we had better service 5 years ago with setanta, that option isn't even an option now.

Who is this Slaygo team Peter Canavan keeps talking about  ;)

Regardless of pronunciations, 10 seconds of his analysis of modern defensive systems is much more interesting and insightful than the conjecture and opinion that's spouted as fact on RTE for the past 12 years...... 'puke football' year in, year out since 2003.

It was a shite game btw but at least the pundits try to take dress it up a bit instead of focusing on personal attacks and creating headlines

Would I be speaking out of turn when I say that the majority of people don't care about the sigerson fullstop?
I went to university in belfast and lived with several lads that represented their respective counties at underage, (one had a runout with county seniors,) and they never considered even attending matches out at the dub never mind training for the university teams. It's a side of university life that only a few feel attached to, as can be seen by supporter attendances.  I presume that most of the people in support felt more affinity with the university than we did at least, maybe you were part of the 'rancher clique'.  Anyway for me county is county and sigerson only interests those who have played in it.

Just doing some maths here for the future and I would appreciate help:

Cost of getting out to australia:

Visa? £200??
Open Ended Flight? £900??
Bank Balance to Prove you are able to support yourself? £2000??

Are these estimates reasonable?

Landed here a few weeks ago and I would say you need a fair bit more.

Obviously the flights will change in price depending on what season you book for, so £800-£1200 is a reasonable return price, check online prices for a guide with skyscanner/ethihad/emirates,etc.
Visa is in the region of £250 now I think, although when I flew STA travel were offering a free one year working holiday visa if you arrived in Queensland(Cairns/Brisbane).

I think you've underestimated the amount you need in spending money, legally you are meant to have $5000(around £3250) and although I have heard of noone who has been asked for it by immigration, it is the absolute minimum you'll need, I would say closer to £5000 if you want to do any travelling or foresee yourself being out of work for much longer than a month when you arrive.

The cost of living is way ahead of that at home, double the price of everything and then some for almost everything-groceries, rent, booze, etc, etc

It will depend on what line of work you do but by the time you have a car, deposit for somewhere to live, induction/safety papers, work gear, tools, not to mention a welcome rip or two you'll need every penny.
