Daughters and her best friend from England have loved it!  The one from England has been here before though never seen a local event well run before

I've booked my holidays for next year

U2 were and will always be looked at as a Maga band, and for them to come from Ireland is something to celebrate

What individuals say or don't say from said band is different, there isn't a band/group or soloist that doesn't have 'bad press' or snobbery about it

Christy Moore is said to be a dour fecker along the lines of Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor had her moments and I'm sure there are hundreds of other great Irish artists that fall foul of the general public as was the case of the one that died in the bike crash recently

But yeah, begrudgery holds a special place in Ireland   

Bono waited less than 24 hours to pontificate and moralise to the world about October 7th. He waited around three years to open his mouth about the ensuing genocide.

Chirsty Moore allegedly being a bit dour isn't much of a parallel.

I wasn't tying to make parallels, apologies,  just pointing out how we are a bunch of begrudging cnuts

I saw the Oddysey and it is the best of Christopher Nolans movies imho. The three hours flew by.

It's not a patch on Oppenheimer or Inception.

Neither of those are a patch on Interstellar.

Interstellar was far better the second time I seen it, Oppenheimer I enjoyed and love the Inception concept, I've the Oddysey I need to see at the cinema, trying to get a sucker to go with me is the problem, me and the kids watched Spiderman the other night, can't beat a bitta Marvel and seeing the new ones coming out in December Doomsday and also looking forward to the final instalment of Dune

Yeah. Think next year I'll take the Monday off after the first day, the Friday off at end of week and the Monday after final day to relax!

But I do notice a few emails which sometimes makes absolutely no sense at times, must be rife!

To be fair to some, and they have taken a lot flack because if it, the marching drum flute bands have a show at the Titanic slipways tonight as part of the Fleadh, ones within their 'side' have lambasted them fir joining the 'hate fest' oh the irony lol

His son was on 5 Live this morning, a catholic priest, said his da was cracking jokes right up the final hours, his jokes were very lame and not condescending about Irish people, all his jokes were family level never a swear or dirt in them by all accounts..

Moved to England, Manchester area I think as that was popular with the Northern clubs comedy scene, kids are full English accents

St Anne's cathedral's carpark are doing some great food places and there is a bar onsite also, getting drinks and food wasn't an issue, I think as you say just hitting the right gigs at the right time. Might head up again on Friday night, fingers crossed that everything continues in the same vein

Back in the day I knew grown ass man (from Belfast) that never had a pint in the city center! Work with a colleague from the south who'd never been to the North until we had a works function, up to that point the furthest north was Carlinford for a xmas do.. Plenty prods never been across the border too

Never waited long for a drink, they have that many pop up bars about the place that queues for drinks was minimal, had to queue for Kelly's, but talking 3 or 4 minutes and no waiting for drinks

People that go to cities and complain about prices need to not bother going, it's the same in every city.

There on Sunday to enjoy the craic with family, didn't worry about the price of a pint or the food. Atmosphere brilliant and while there no issues

What a day we had in Belfast yesterday afternoon...

Fantastic atmosphere great craic the numbers in town was fantastic to see, effort by those involved was outstanding

Very relaxed and so many people from all over the world there to enjoy it

We left around 8.30, had only planned to stay for couple of hours, managed over 4, with a good few Heverlee

The bars and food places made a killing
