What are the rules around getting Friday night ACL games changed for a Thursday wedding?

trueblue1234

I see charges against Edendork have been dropped now regarding the draw. Good news.

both teams usually have to agree to bring a game forward.
depends on what club you are asking to change.

Unlikely it would be changed, and to be honest can't see why  a Thursday wedding would impact a Friday night game? Be a different scenario if it was a Friday wedding id imagine, although have seen plenty clubs not even changing for that.

RedHand88

Edendork cleared of any wrongdoing.

All about who u know.!!

Mad how games get changed for certain clubs in scenarios like this after the opposing club initially refuses. No regard for what suits the opposing club either, it's just enforced upon them without good reason.

All Clubs should be allowed to move one game per year on request with a genuine reason, club fund raiser, wedding. Minimum 1 months notice. After that suck it up.

LeoMc

Why only 1 game? Providing both clubs and the referee are agreeable it should not be an issue beyond maybe the last round of games.
OTOH the CB may be trying to avoid clubs building up grievances as "X would not change to suit us last year so we are not doing it this year", when perhaps a change would not have been in X's interest.

BG_Gael

Dont see any Wednesday night games so going to assume the game wasn't moved?

It would be a nonsense allowing teams to move all their games. 1 opportunity to move one game for a genuine reason, 1 month out, so avoids last minute stuff because a player is injured.
Problem now is exactly as you describe it. They didn't switch etc etc.

Not long now lads. I will chance a wee prediction to see how wrong I am in November. Please take no offence this is guesswork.

Senior
League: Dungannon - Much of a muchness, depends who tries hard enough, could be anyone.
Championship: Errigal - Containing the two Canavan's is going to be a nightmare for years to come. Dromore, Dungannon, Carmen best poised to challenge from the other half of draw.
Relegation: Eglish & Moortown - Believe Eglish have had a few key departures along with McKenna, could be a difficult season. Moortown because they didn't win a game after mid June last year, though they done well to get their points on the board early, and are a dogged, difficult side to beat the way they play.

Intermediate
League: Clonoe - Their fixtures to begin the league could result in a fast start, good firepower up front though the other end of the field could let them down.
Championship: Pomeroy - Tentative selection here I find the grade fairly wide open this year. Any number of teams could win it.
Relegation: Tattyreagh & Killeeshil - My sources could be completely wide off the mark here but would I be right in saying these teams are decimated by emmigration, Kileeshil in particular? A shame as they really should have beaten Galbally last year and looked a good side.

Junior
League: Fintona - Believe these lads have been building for quite a while and have had regular Grade 1 underage teams recently. Could be a bit early yet.
Championship: Aghaloo - Good run to the final last year and with Strabane and Stewartstown away I'd fancy them. Probably Cookstown to be a threat.

Under Lights

Some interesting ones there. Agree with you on Fintona they seem to be the team to beat.
