Parking at the pumps when you're not buying fuel
Indicating without checking your mirror first/hogging the middle or outer lane
Or leaving the car at the pump  to go in to pay ,  while a  queue of cars is  waiting

W@nkers

More annoying when people maybe fill up and then leave their car there at the pump while then completing a weekly shop in the store  :-X

Infuriates me. Nothing worse than getting a baby seat out of a normal space.
Id love to abandon shop infront of the and take my time doing the shopping, only it blocks innocent people in too.

Seen a trend for the disable spot takers without the blue badge, people are surrounding their car with empty shopping trolleys  ;D

For the fancy car people parking over the white line, just park right next them  ;)

Didn't watch any of it when I saw the score.  Did Howe get much criticism after the match?  He seems to be getting a pass from the English media. There's more chat about Slot losing his job than Howe......

Probably because with the quality of the squad Howe is actually over achieving in recent seasons.

Quote from: Armagh18 on February 02, 2026, 09:47:01 AMUnited and Chelsea could possibly catxh Villa the way things are going. Annoyingly Liverpool and Chelsea have started winning at the same time United have.

The longer both keep going in Europe and FA Cup the more it should play to United being fresher for the league games, but that's a big if going by recent seasons.

Sobering performance yesterday.

Granted I don't think anyone believes that we are at their level, but it was shockingly poor at times.

Players don't seem to know the plan, if there is one and continually second guessed themselves while on the ball.

Quote from: delgany on January 28, 2026, 11:57:08 PMProposal going to February Congress for any dissent to the referee on pitch or from the sideline will result in sliothar being forward 30m
If dissent happens at half time break , the game will restart with a 20m free to the opposition!
Davy may curb his enthusiasm for the refs

Maybe Davy is seeing how things have been for us traveling down South for years and the way we are treated by officials. Maybe not keen to be on the other side of it now, I hope he does highlight it and bring it to the fore.

That being said the dissent rule seems to have worked well in the football so no harm in trying something similar for the hurling.

Quote from: Blowitupref on January 27, 2026, 12:48:21 PMPatrick Dorgu after playing well against Arsenal,Man City is now reported to be out for around 10 weeks after scans reveal hamstring injury.
Shame, lad was really coming into his own the last spell of games. Cunha will get his place back and they'll miss that impact off the bench, hopefully Lacey will see minutes now. Unfortunately leaves them relying on Shaw and Dalot for the left back position now.

Mazraoui very good at LB, Dorgu went full Bale there for a couple of games, interesting to see how that evolves when he's back, 10 weeks a bad kick in the stones
Shaw been grand there the last 2 games in fairness but I just can't trust the lad, same with Dalot on the other side.

Both I agree on, but there's a fair chance both will be in their respective WC Squads if they keep this form to end of the season.

Making those dropped points in the last run of RA's reign look even more annoying now.

Had they picked up a couple of wins in those even, it would be very interesting.

Good to see the effort levels way up on what they have been previously.

Quote from: Armagh18 on January 22, 2026, 06:04:09 PMShame, would have kept him on with lower wages for another year. Maybe he didn't fancy the paycut. Would wish him all the best.

3 midfielders needed in the summer!

The timing is perfect I'd say, no way he is fit for another season at this level. He is fitter this year than he has been previously, maybe because he knew this was on the cards.

Another massive salary off the wages and now no excuse but to rebuild the complete midfield.

Great player, just got him a couple of seasons too late.

Quote from: Na Glinntí Glasa on January 22, 2026, 08:33:20 AMThe Glenariffe/Glenravel project has worked well at under age, especially for Oisins as they will benefit at at adult level more with the success they have had.

There was a good few good hurlers from Glenravel in that amalgamation team so you can only hope they get to see the rewards from it as well at senior level.

Oisins will find the first year tough going but with teams missing county players in the league series they will pick up wins i don't doubt.

Interesting though at U12 level Glenariffe ploughed their own way in 2025 whereas previously they had been amalgamated with Cushendall up to U14 level as Gael Na Glinti. They seem to have enough numbers to push on themselves so you might see them ending the amalgamations at underage and go their own way without Cushendall & Glenravel.

My sources tell me that it was Cushendall that pulled the plug on Gael Na Glinti as they'd young lads on the bench not getting much game time. I'd presume they were younger kids though, but can't be sure.

Is U12 in North Antrim 15 aside?

It isn't in Down and we can get the 11 out OK, but we know we're really going to struggle to get 15 on the pitch come U14 and beyond in the next few years and that's including all boys in the four calendar years that will be eligible.

No new houses in the parish for quite a while now and that's having an impact big style.

Glenariffe had full panels at this age group (more than 15 players) pre the amalgamation. Could never understand what was in it for them and why they decided to pair up when they didnt need too.

Quote from: scamroc on January 20, 2026, 07:03:49 PMAny rumblings of a revamp to the intermediate championship? The 2 big groups taking nearly 2 months to complete before the knockout stages has left it a bit too drawn out and too many dead rubbers. Up until recently it's been the best championship in terms of competitiveness, but seems to have lost its way a bit and gone a bit stale. Championship should be do or die, mini leagues tend to kill that.

Would 4 groups of 3 sharpen it up?

4 x group winners - home venue for q/final knock out against the 4 x 2nd placed teams.
4 x 3rd placed teams - knocked out OR a relegation playoff for a drop to junior for added jeopardy.

There were 11 teams last year. Carey down Glenariffe up. Guessing Rasharkin will drop possibly with Sarsfields and Glenravel up leaving 10.

If those 2 knew there was a new and cleaner format would it encourage them to stay and have 12 teams?

Less round robin games for all, but with every game meaningful and more competitive it could raise standards again at intermediate and help narrow the gap between that and senior. Admittedly the gap is huge but nothing changes if nothing changes!

Groups of 3 doesn't work

Quote from: imtommygunn on January 19, 2026, 08:51:39 PMHave to say I feel this way about ballygunner too. I just don't find games they're in interesting at all. In the hurling I don't think I have ever thought that about another team. (Though Davy fitz's sweeper setup does sometimes not look great either...)

Their style is the next iteration of Davy's style. Loads of players behind the ball, work hard to get it back, play a couple of forwards up on their own and try to dominate possession.

It's a solid way to play to get back up the table.

They do have players who can play that game too. Even Maguire and Martinez can hit decent long balls out.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but you won't be able to play like that against the weaker teams, which has been Uniteds downfall.
And that will be the problem.
Which it has been since Van Gaal's days, if I remember he got results against bigger sides a fair bit.
The Fulham game and the games in Feb will tell us more about where they are really. Great performance and result on Saturday though.

I think it was the intensity in the play at the weekend which was different level. There was serious intent with everything they, if they can do that with the so called weaker teams then the quality should shine through.

It will be interesting.
