Yeah it was a long time ago and was his first go at management. He's learned his trade since and is a much better coach/manager now. I'm just surprised the Fianna wouldn't be knocking on his door looking to get him back involved. His own club be more in need of him that Magherafelt.
Did he leave himself that year or was he pushed.

What's the view in Kildress on Tracey driving up the road to manage Cookstown and his own club are without a manager.
Another strange one is Moortown paying James Conway with Chris Lawn helping out. Surely Lawn could take it on his own

Have you tried to manage and coach a team? Too much time
Go on tell me what extra James Conway will be doing compared to Chris Lawn

You need 2 men, a coach and manager. Can't have same man setting up training then talking to players etc. the role can be shared or separate
So you can't have the same man setting up training, taking the drills then talking to players. Don't think you know what your talking about.
Maybe someone who hasn't a clue might need help. Say Rafferty of Dungannon who got Holmes in to take the training. But Chris Lawn should be on his own with help from a coaches from inside the club. It's intermediate not a county team setup we are talking about.

How do you explain Jody Gormley & Peter McGinnity then or Horse & McKaigue or Ricey & McIver. How are they different to the Moortown set up?
Big difference is Ricey needed McIver has he was away with cavan. Horse same Louth. Moortown don't need Conway. Chris Lawn more than capable of doing it on his own.
Anyone who trys to tell me that a manager can't manage and coach at the same time is wrong. Yes he will definitely need help and split the training up but at the end of the day to many people complicate it

Quote from: Deerstalker on November 13, 2023, 10:03:42 PMIs £200 steep for a service, spark plugs, oil change & filters ?

New mechanic and he's a bit dearer than the last one. Just wondering what the ball park is these days for a service.

At the weekend I got
5 litres oil £20
Fuel and oil filter £20
That's £48 including vat.
It's usually £30 to service although it could be £40 depending on the vehicle.
Spark plugs aren't dear I don't think.
Wasn't heater plugs by any chance.
Depends on your location. If it's a city  garage it could be dear has there's probably rent to pay on the premises. Your always better to buy the parts yourself. All you need is the reg of the vehicle and go to the supplier yourself.
Go back and ask for a receipt to see the breakdown.

Hope none of the Derrygonnelly lads or their families have anything going in their personal lives that the Kilcoo c***ts will target.

Finished 3-10 to 0-03 the last time they met. They might target beating that scoreline!

4-1 for Ulster might be worth a few quid after all

Them and Glen will be some game.
Is it not Scotstown v Kilcoo next
I don't think anyone else in Ulster will touch those 2.
You got it badly wrong about Errigal. No reason Scotstown can't turn them over
