Jack O'Connor in third stint as kerry manager. Has 4 All Ireland medals as kerry manager. He is level behind the great Sean Boylan 2  behind Jim Gavin 4 behind  Mick O'Dwyer.  Can Jack beat the legendary Mick O'Dwyer record? He has Shane Ryan, Jason Foley, Tom O'Sullivan, Gavin White, Diarmuid O'Connor, Sean O'Shea,  David and Paudie Clifford coming into their prime.

He will become first kerry manager to win back to back All Ireland titles since Micko.Only matter of time before Jacko succeeds.

Brilliant, just what everyone here needs -- another thread in eulogy to some Kerry buachaill or other FFS!
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

It's a bit early for that when they haven't even won a 5th yet. But while he could well beat Mickos record he certainly won't be challenging him for charisma anyway, hes one dour character.

From the Bunker

Has taken him 20 years to win 4. He is now nearly 63.
He's less likely to be meeting teams like Mayo, Cork and Galway in finals.
Miko had 8 at 50. It's unlikely!

No he thrives on negativity and backlash.  Don't see him as a forward d thinker. Without tally this would not have happened..

BuzzCagney

Tally deserves massive credit but Jacko I'd the man. He be first man outside of Dublin and since Billy Morgan to win back to back All Irelands.  Some achievement.

twohands!!!

Jack O'Connor's term is up this year.
He was only ratified for 2 years when appointed.
Probably a smallish possibility he packs it in given his age.

Jack is retired.  He left Kildare as fast as lightning once in sniff for kerry role. He in it for the long haul with Clifford, Foley, O'Sullivan, O'Shea Ryan and O'Connor coming into their prime.
