Passports in the North.
BBC News - Covid-19: Stormont ministers vote for mandatory Covid passports

I'd bet money that doesn't come to fruition or at the very least is fudged until after the New Year.

Watching The Leftovers again, so good.

Watched a great documentary series on Sky Docs 'The 100 ft wave', about big wave surfers at Nazare in Portugal. Just good viewing.

For the sanity of the country they should stop publishing positive cases. People get so caught up in the positive cases and automatically assume its a problem. I would say if we tested every person who had flu symptoms at this time of year to the extent we do for Covid then people would say we have a flu pandemic. we vaccinate for flu we now vaccinate for Covid, the case numbers really shouldn't be relevant if we are doing the vaccine roll out properly, if people get their boosters then really there's not a massive issue. if you're double jabbed within 6 months then the likelihood is covid will not have a big effect on you, there will always be exceptions to the rule unfortunately. it really is as simple as get jabbed and stop reading about case numbers, your life will be much much better.
I reckon not reporting deaths is a huge mistake in the ROI though, (74 in past week according to covid tracker app), if that's not the best advert for  getting vaxxed & just having a bit of cop on I dunno what could be.

Rory Stewart is no longer an MP. Liz Truss has continually polled as the most popular Tory among Tory voters, so she'd be in the running to replace BJ if & when it ever happens, Sunak has obvious credentials and would be the Bookies favourite, think Gove is destined never to be PM although he'sstill in the hunt for the job, Javid has ideas above his station, he'd no doubt run again. BJ will be about for a fair while yet.

The Tories are in a similar state to the one they were in in the early 90s. They have been in power for too long and have run out of ideas. FF had a dose of it in 2008-11.

However, in the 1990s Labour had an able and popular leader in Blair to take over things.
Labour was infiltrated by Zionists and neoliberals to prevent the left changing the economic system and damaging the rich and Israel

And that's the sort of Gobshitery holding back the current UK Labour Party. People's front of Judea wouldn't get a look in.

It's now officially my reading season, have bought 2 books recently, the Sally Rooney one and Richard Osman's follow up book :D Not that hi brow these days.

Obama's book is never getting finished.
More than half way through Sally Rooney's 'Beautiful world where are you', it's very meh, I'm on the verge of declaring it shite. It's almost as if middle aged men aren't her target demographic  :P

I think there's a large section of society who would want to take their chances if there was an Ebola outbreak at this stage, sensible phase of the pandemic has ended.

A random tweet

I love the story of the Clash, sitting very hungover in the foyer of Glasgow’s Albany hotel, having had a sleepless night in jail, when Lionel Blair breezed through in a fur coat with a cheery ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BOYS!’

I wouldn't be a Cop anywhere in the world, cannot see the attraction of the job at all. Can't say I'd be overly enthusiastic if some of my kids wanted to join the PSNI (or Garda or any force tbh).

Watched both series of Guilt over the weekend (BBC Scotland / iplayer), excellent, S1 was very good, S2 developed into something great, highly recommended.
