Quote from: RedHand88 on December 08, 2023, 02:04:07 PMYea I don't see the big issue to be honest. Seems like a classic case of Irish begrudgement. More power to anything who spends their life in management and gets paid for it when they make it to the top.
If its easy money, away yous go and get your CV built up. Can start with a youth team in your local club and work your way up from there.

I doubt many have a problem with it but how are they get it bags of cash or are they paying tax on it the same as the rest of us do on our earnings?

Quote from: Rossfan on November 28, 2023, 10:11:47 AMDo those clowns who "don't want open borders" want us to leave the EU?
Do they want us to become a Western Albania like we were on the 1950s?

They're so effn thick that they probably do.
Then we have those who say we're "importing" people.
The only people being brought in are those from non EU Countries and non Brits for whom Employers get work permits.
(I know the word work is an unknown concept to our right wing extremists).
Others - Brits, EU citizens and people applying for International Protection - arrive of their own volition.

As for Mary Lou, I'm not a SF voter but as an elected Representative she's entitled to go about her business without a mob of foul mouthed scumbags harassing her.
One of them shouted something about her and SF being "terrorists"....

I wonder what Nationality that individual was.

No doubt voted for SF in the last election aswell.

Quote from: Itchy on November 27, 2023, 12:58:20 PMI can tell you I spoke to 3 lads at lunch there, from Sligo, Galway and Mayo. Their league and championship totally seperate too. Bar the couple on northern counties I haven't come across any that are linked

Do they have junior champ teams playing div 1?

Seen that the Ulster Junior Final is over and Congratulations to Arva on an well deserved win it's probably time for some of ye to take a break on debating the structures of Cavan club football.

It has been going on now for near 2 months and ye are only going around in circles.

It can all be done again next year prior to Division 1 Knockbride playing the first round of the Ulster Junior Championship.

Quote from: intheknowhow on November 21, 2023, 11:11:35 AMWell what's the point of hav8ng 3 decisions....

Maybe Derry should play tailteann cup next year,
If they were too good they should play div 1 and senior champ like every other county

Maybe they should they might win a national title that way.

Ah you know your wrong

Wrong on what?

You are trying to defend that's it's okay that arva Can play div 1 and junior champ, it's wrong!

It is what it is you guys will probably be back next year spending weeks saying the same about Knockbride but it won't change anything. Once there gone up it will be back to normal.

Quote from: intheknowhow on November 21, 2023, 09:18:17 AMI don't like the Cavan system, Monaghan is the fairest. 1 team up via league, 1 via champ. None of this mess playing did 1 football and playing intermediate or junior champ.

Cavan's 3 representatives in ulster this year all played div 1 league....

Arvagh have not kicked in a ball in Division
Quote from: intheknowhow on November 21, 2023, 11:00:28 AMThey should be playing div 3 league football

They are way to good for that.

Lisnakea were more concerned about keeping the score down than trying to win the game.

Quote from: Taylor on November 14, 2023, 08:23:34 AMWhat are the rules about posting videos of underage kids games on social media?

Messy. Both teams should be fucked out of the competition and a few heavy suspensions handed out.

Agree that stern action has to be taken against both teams.
I had thought there was a rule about posting videos of underage games (or even recording them)

I always thought there was a rule brought in a few years ago about third man into a scuffle got a straight red?

Was this a rule or did I just imagine it?

Only heard of that in ice hockey

Speaking of Ice Hockey, I always thought it'd be a good idea to let 2 lads go at it (like ice hockey) and have ref/lineman split it and deal with it when it went to ground. Would cut out the messier type brawls where men can get hit on the ground etc.

Maybe no one will agree with me, but I don't think it would be a bad way to go.

That's well and good when they are wearing helmets and protective clothing.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on November 07, 2023, 12:32:22 PMPomeroy v Cullyhanna should be a serious game on Saturday evening - there's every chance this is the 2 strongest teams meeting in the 1st round. Could be wrong of course but on paper I'd say that's the case.

Pomeroy maybe stronger all around 15 but Cullyhanna are very capable as they've shown, and have some star power.

Would Killanny or Ballyhaise be up to much? I'd already be expecting a Monaghan Cavan junior final for reasons stated above. Maybe Fintona to upset Blackhill but they seem to have good pedigree at the level.

Ballyhaise would be a big strong team with some very good footballers but whether they can do it in Ulster is another thing they got over the line handy enough in Cavan this year.

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on November 07, 2023, 12:34:22 PMTechnical foul outside the box is a free, if defender picks up ball in the small square penalty.. That should be easy enough to work out and those closest would have seen that?

So it was either a free or a penalty, why did the Tullamore lads complain if it was the correct call?

The Referee lost the run of himself in that he gave a free, then spoke to umpires and gave a penalty, then linesman intervened and he changed back to a free which was the right call. ( or something like that going by what i have read). They obviously complained because they though they were going to get a chance to win the game and then it was took away from them and emotions got the better of them.
