O'Rourke needs the RTE gig. He made bad decisions during the Celtic Tiger. He even got reminded of this live on air by Brolly once.  ;D

There is no one like Brolly to humiliate you on live TV about personal stuff.

So O'Rourke is theoretically working on RTE for the Bank. There is something satisfying about that.

Jesus , youíre no  better than that  Brolly dick then. Sniggering at another mans misfortune.

I think those two Kerry lads behind the goal put Bruno off his penalty.

Leaving aside the next ten winners..... are there any teams you  think could reach the All Ireland final? Any potential dark horses?

Bearing in mind  there have only been 8 different finalists in the last 20 finals, and only 14 different finalists in the last 60 years.  And of that 14, Derry and Kildare only reached one final each.

All saying Dublin will win 3 or 4, I don't think they will, if they don't win next year or year after, I foresee some years in the doldrums.

Offaly anyone in 5 -10 years?

I'll have what you're having!  ;D ;D ;D

Any mention of Derry, Offaly or Monaghan can't be taken seriously.

You can add Armagh to that group.

No AI in them either

Yeah youíre probably right , but  a lot can happen in  10 years  of football. Look at where we were in Ď96, and within 10 years we had won the AI, NFL,  6 Ulsterís and been to another AI final and 3 semis .

Are Derry or Monaghan   in any worse condition than Donegal were  in 2010?

When will we know which nonsense championship format the  big chiefs will  adopt for next year?

Nothing against the midgets from the bushes at all and congratulations to them for their All-Ireland win, but there is a certain narrative that exists around Tyrone football and will continue to do for a long time. Theres plenty reasons that most counties in Ireland cant have them at all.

Anyone ive spoken to firmly believe that they pulled an absolute stroke this year in terms of the Covid situation. They played a blinder and anyone swallows what we've been told on the face of it is very naive. They've again managed to galvanise a group of players and use the circumstances at the time to their full advantage, to get the wins they needed and thats their prerogative. No other team quite pisses on a parade like Tyrone do.

Kerry are a bit of a disgrace to be fair. They only have to get their house together for a few weeks every summer and they cant even do that. How many times have they been shown to lack the 'minerals' required for a fight and had their pants pulled down, especially by those big bad bully boys from the North. Everyone knows they havent the stomach for a scrap and i cant see where Peter 'Yerra Yerra' Keane is the man to inspire troops to march into battle. Spillane might be right in what he says but he lacks credibility now and should be put out to pasture for good. When him and the big blouse from Tyrone were scratching each others eyes out it on TV it was cringeworthy.

The big blouse from Tyrone  ;D

It was brutal viewing. Like two hysterical teenage girls having a barney.

The lowest common denominator absurdity is to compare the Connacht Hurling Final, a match which has taken place on six occasions over the last century, all in the 1990s, with the Munster Hurling Final, one of the biggest occasions in the hurling year ever since the game started being played on an organised basis.

Yep good man, that's exactly what I did  ;D ;D ;D ;D
As far as I can see it is. If not, explain what your point is?

The Connacht hurling final was played for six years in the 1990s between Galway and Roscommon, with Galway always winning by as much they wanted, each year in front of two men and a dog.

The most noteworthy thing to occur in one of these Connacht hurling finals was Joe Rabbitte nearly getting killed when a Roscommon player blindsided him with a full force strike of a hurley to the head.

I remember that. Think yer man lost the head and hit Rabbitte on the back of the head with the hurl, knocking him out. Could have killed him

As someone said, first AI winning captain to begin his speech with "Move back, move back."

Addressing the bishop is obviously more important than fans being crushed then?

Sancho was poor tonight.  Should be end for Martial. Horrific attitude and no desire to work hard.  Hopefully Cavani will back soon.

He never did. The lazy hoor. Never warmed to him. The sooner he goes,  the better

Not seen nothing from Sancho yet either. Heíd need to get his arse in gear

Bennycake thinks heís shite no doubt

Nope I always like Mata. Should have been used a lot more than he was the  last couple of seasons.  Still a better player than the likes of Fred Matic or VDB

Another one who thought they knew better: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-58649891

It says that he was unvaccinated but it doesn't give the vaccination status of his mother who ended up on a ventilator? the fact that it doesn't would suggest she was double jabbed?. you could therefore get a completely different headline out of this story.

Are you vaccinated Clarshack?

No, i've been on the fence like this Girvin guy was but nearing ready to come off it. I test myself once a week (never tested positive) but got an antibody test done there at the start of this week and the results came back negative for antibodies, so I should get the finger out.

Anyway the point I was trying to make in my last post was the inconsistency of stating one person's vaccination status and not the other person.

Can you elaborate on that?

Where, why and how are these done? Whatís the meaning of your result?

Is the likes of McClean, Gobson, Marc Wilson etc opting for the Republic, not similar to Declan Rice, Grealish etc (who did actually represent Ireland), opting for England?

I mean, why would you want a player playing for your country/team, when  they clearly donít want to be there? Iíve. Heard it said on here that Ireland should have capped Declan Rice in a proper match to tie him to Ireland. Iím glad they didnít, because his true loyalty was to England. For whatever reason, he chose them over Ireland. So, feck him. Whatever. If he was capped proper, he would only have reluctantly played for Ireland but his true loyalty would have been England.

So why would NI fans get  upset at northern Catholic  players opting for Ireland? Do you want someone playing g for you that doesnít want to be there?
