Sons Of Anarchy......well worth a download. 1st two seasons are quality, 3rd isn't all that great...orish accents are terrible, as well as so many other things relating to Ireland. Looking forward to the 4th season though!

Sons of Anarchy is absolute bollox! Incredibly watchable, but bollox!

Still haven't bothered watching the third season - when I heard the club had a "Belfast Chapter" I was tempted to give up.

anyone here watch the wire?

if so why does daniels not arrest barksdale that time he drives past him in the jeep in the first series?
Don't remember that particular incident but what charges would he lay? The whole was to use "the wire" to gather evidence.

he just looks at barksdale and barksdale wags the finger at him.

hard to know why he didnt try to bring him in to ruffle up a few feathers, especially as barksdale knew he was being followed.

On what charges? The whole point was that Daniels and his team didn't want a few meaningless arrests of street-level dealers. They all knew Avon was the kingpin but needed serious evidence to bring him in.

Fell asleep half an hour into Donnie Darko last night, did I miss much? I see This Is England is on tonight, too. Have heard good reports so must watch it.

Donnie Darko's ok, not the masterpiece some make it out to be in my opinion.

This Is England is excellent.

Can't believe they made a film of it, thought the book was dung.

Polanski wanted make another Harris book, Pompeii (thought it was crap) but didn't get the green light for some reason.

Finally got around to watching The Ghost (Writer) with Ewan McGregor.

Thought it was alright, but very overrated, was hardly the suspense filled thriller I'd been led to expect.

Manny Ramirez retires after testing positive for PEDs again.

Sport is rotten to the core.

Sinead O'Connor - Óró Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile. My favourite version of it. She has a reggae-style version of it that's actually quite good.

What is it about Fred Couples and the Masters? Always seems to be in and around the top of the leaderboard before the weekend hits!

Jesus Christ, the IRA should apparently be commended for it's actions in relation to the disappeared.

f**k me pink, you learn something new every day.

OK, and the British?? (To get back to the actual topic?)

(p.s. quote where I said they should be commended)

EDIT: You know what, scrap that 'p.s.' bit. You won't find such a quote and your attempts to bluff it off will only add to the thread going off topic)

What about the British? I'm talking about the ra, not the Brits.

"They could have continued to lie if they so wished". f**k right off and stop making out as if this came about through some form of overwhelming guilt and remorse. They had no other option.

I wouldnt turn Peter Robinson into mother Theresa just yet, you talk about huge gestures, him walking into a Church whose congregation worships the same God he does and it is seen as this fantastic step forward, it's sad that his 'gesture' is seen in this light because it highlights just how backward the north and it's people are in some ways.

I will say that he is far more of a man than the rest of the bigots he has shacked up with politicially over the past few decades, they are still a collective of knuckle draggers and maybe the wifes unbelievable betrayal has made him a better human being, it would appear so.

Nobody is trying to turn him into Mother Teresa. He's merely been given his fair dues for this and other recent gestures.

Have to say if Fergie pulls off a treble or a double (or even a single trophy) with;

a) the group of players at disposal.
b) the aging key players.
c) the Injuries to key players
d) the Lack of money given to make big name signings
e) the Loss of form of Nani and Rooney.

then he will be proven to be the Best (that everybody knows he is).

Agreed. It would be his greatest achievement yet.

I didn't watch any of it as I had more interest in the Golf so I can only go by what the stats say...

As i said already..with United's tactics in the 2nd half, the stats don't tell a true story on this occasion i'm afraid RLL.

The team with the best players, worked the hardest, won & desevered the win was Man United
What you really mean is you shite on about stats when it suits you but you ignore them when they show you up for talking shite.
Then again the majority of what you post is shite.

That's one hell of shite post!  :D

Really? I think LL has a point about you.

Yes dave from NY with 38 posts!! your clearly another Liverpool fan or maybe just a ABU same thing really.

Ross in fairness, your near 7000 posts are absolute garbage, so quantity isn't really a big deal is it?

I've said it before, but Dani Alves is just an absolutely outstanding footballer.

Only Messi has more assists this season. Having said that, he made a real balls up of a pass to Valdes in the first half that could have been costly.

He had his bad moments in the first 25 minutes and then proceeded to beat Shakhtar black and blue for the remainder of the match.

I'm sick of listening to shite about "he can't defend", "he's only an athlete" etc.

He's incredible.
