Quote from: Wildweasel74 on May 04, 2026, 12:59:23 AMDown geared up 6+months for that game. Zero time to adapt and go again a week later.
Really tough for down to have to get up a level twice in 7 days
Genuinely they looked spent after about 20 mins
No taking away from Armagh though jeez they were ruthless

Quote from: EoinW on May 01, 2026, 11:44:14 AMDown v Armagh.  What impressed me about Down was how they defeated Donegal.  That kind of an upset, I would have expected them to be hanging on for the win.  Instead they won going away.

I'd say they have an excellent chance against Armagh, provided Down get goals.  Yes I know every team looks great when they get goals.  I do sense Down could have another 3 goal game in them and they'll need it.

Well that was my point a few days ago, Down will score goals and anything like that performance against Donegal and they'll win pulling up on Sunday too. Armagh's midfield is weak and winning that dirty ball or a high fielding catch is all in Down's favour. Bookies have Down +3-4 pts depending on the Bookie and that is the smart bet, Down will probably win with no handicap but to cover yourself that +3 or 4pts is stealing money. Down are back baby...
Hopefully come Sunday nite down are back in the tailteann !!!!

Will be tight but  Armagh by 4/5

Quote from: screenexile on April 29, 2026, 03:58:27 PMAm I going mad here or was this not a foul by Mooney? Don't get me wrong it was unreal determination and will but he pulls O'Donnell's arm which stops him from being able to grab the ball.

in real time i thought it was a foul  and still do but you can`t fault the grit and sheer will from caolan Mooney

Quote from: ONeill on April 26, 2026, 11:06:15 PMThere's something about Down in their pomp, for us older ones, that has a warm feeling.

The thought of it makes my blood run cold.
Totally agree rufus
Ffs even the wife piped up last night to me and the kids about "we" ( down ) are  back
She was soon told where to go
Armagh need to nip this in the bud on Sunday
Can't chance down one's prancing about the place

Quote from: tonto1888 on April 24, 2026, 08:29:46 AMMurnin and Turbo to start for Armagh. McCabe not named in the squad. Murphy dropped to the bench which seems harsh.

edit: Rafferty starts in goals also
Guys have knocks so we need to rotate
Disappointed re grugan and mc cabe

Quote from: Armagh18 on April 15, 2026, 04:26:14 PMWould like to see how much of that is going to people who are in work but are on such shite pay that they need benefits to top up their income to actually live? Definitely plenty of tossers too lazy to work who should be cut off but would guess they're a minority. "Welfare" includes state pension as well?
Think we all know welfare needs a serious looking at but labour hasn't the balls to look at it and cut it

Think match will have positives / negatives for both teams .
Worrying though for Armagh that murnin, mc Cambridge didn't get minute because we need them grugan also really didn't get much either they all
Need time against Fermanagh
For me both sides have complaints on the ref which is always a plus meaning he didn't really influence the result .
Ballsy by young mcelhom to go for the goal but experience will tell him the point was a given

Quote from: Canavanistheman03 on April 11, 2026, 04:10:33 PMTyrone to win it.
Expect few changes before throw in.
Pressure on Armagh to win it, Tyrone won't be phased by the media etc.
Tyrone always have and always will be a championship team.
Statement for the season ahead be out by 6 o'clock Sunday evening.

Canavan 3.17

Not happening
Armagh are winning so accept it

Quote from: Armagh18 on April 10, 2026, 05:58:57 AMFairly strong team named and excellent bench which will be key, could be a change or 2 before throw in.

Would agree with this, as McCambridge, McElroy, Turbo, O'Neill, Grugan and Murnin can't all be used from bench and I think will be needed.

Personally would like to see Oisin O'Neill to start in place of Duffy and Murnin for Paddy Burns with TK going 6 and Murphy to full back line.

Think we have too many defenders on the pitch
Would have murnin for Tomas and Oisin for Jason
Switch Tiernan back
Move murnin into midfield and play with 5 up front
