On the pitch Maccabi were pretty poor and villa were able to give some players a run out.
Fans outside chanting you can stick your Palestine up your arse. Some English people are a special breed of scum

100% tax on anything over a billion. How the f**k anyone needs more than that while millions upon millions world wide don't have basics I don't know.

I wouldn't pay much heed to Whitey. A walking contradiction. Claimed its 'fantastic' that Mamdani got elected in New York. Can't imagine he says that to the lads on his nite out... 😆

It's is fantastic

Mamdani is just the left wing version of Trump-he's a disruptor. The system is broken and he's come up with some radical solutions.

Just because I don't agree with someone doesn't mean I think they're wrong about everything.

If he's wrong about most things, which I think he is, then it's a huge advantage to Republicans in the mid terms
Can't make head or tail of that logic... #twisted

He's right in some of the things he says

He's wrong on others

Eg...I'll give him credit and praise him if he manages to make the city owned grocery stores work or figure out how to give free subway fares to poor people

He is wrong on how he says he's going to pay for all this stuff. He doesn't have taxing authority.

Surely neither of those are mad ideas and shouldn't be too hard to implement?

How much power does he actually have?

And so it begins.
Farage is a lying, tax dodging racist fascist. You don't get many articles about him Think I'd rather the hypnotherapist.

Quote from: Munchie on November 06, 2025, 11:07:26 AMThe EA are spending £40 million a year on getting precious to school in taxis, no wonder you can't get a taxi at night they don't have to work - society is fucked, the perception is everyone is owed, free prescriptions, free water, a bit stressed and you are off work getting more money that folk bursting their holes going to work 6 days a week.  The only way it will end is if benefits are addressed ffs luxury cars for DVLA ridiculous.
Need to look at the billionaires paying fuckall tax rather than the ones scrounging benefits. I can guarantee you theres more being lost by the rich not paying than by the poor screwing the system.

It will be interesting to see how the media deal with Polanski in the future.

Oh don't worry he'll get the Corbyn treatment if he ever looks like being successful.

Maybe Reeves will tell us how she aims to deal with that little mess, on 26th November.
However, she's probably too busy, learning how to rent a house out, cadging concert tickets & sponging a clothing allowance off wealthy Labour benefactors to even bother worrying about her day job.

She could deal with it better by taxing cúnts like Sir Charlie to pay for mental health services for the people he's punching down on.

You think it's perfectly normal to have 800,000 added to the list in 6 years as long as the rich are taxed to pay for them? No individual responsibility at all. There must be something in the air or the water that is making all these people desperately ill.

It's not normal, but if you run the NHS into the ground with people on waiting lists for years just to see a consultant this is the outcome you are going to get.

You can't complain about productivity as a former CEO of John Lewis earning over £1.5M a year and not understand what is impacting that productivity at source unless you are wilfully pig ignorant.

The problem with the UK is that, since 1979, any money making entities, such as utilities,  were sold off, mainly to foreign investors. Prices have gone up, so that the shareholders can be rewarded. I also noticed a figure this week that we are all paying approximately £52 a year each, to cover those who can't or won't pay their energy bills, but you're never told that. Why I should cover anyone who won't pay their bill is anybodies guess.

When you look at what's left, in the public sector - education, health, councils.....there is no longer a single service left that's successfully fulfilling its remit.

The whole show is a complete & utter car crash, it's costing each of us even more each year & standards are continually falling through the floor.

Yet, we're supposed to put up with this shite & vote in the same idiots with the exact same agenda as the last time & absolutely no solutions to anything for another 5 years' worth of telling us how wonderful they are, via their social media accounts, while never looking up from their expenses sheets.

You should be angry at the companies earning record profits while still increasing prices. Not the people who can't pay their bills.

Labour are a shower of wankers but are slightly less bad than the Tories. For a so called democracy their isn't much choice. Corbyn's new party would be fantastic but hasn't much hope of getting in.

Quote from: Armagh18 on November 05, 2025, 07:28:02 AMGreat to see Mamdani win in NYC. Trump will be throwing the toys out more than usual.

He'll try to do more than that. He has already pulled federal funding for the desperately needed new railway tunnel under the Hudson as well as an extension of the subway line up 2nd Avenue into Harlem. He'll also try to make good on his promise to end the city's congestion pricing operation that started this year, although I'm not sure what authority he actually has on that front.

Most of all though, expect him to start sending ICE into the city in massive numbers to harass and intimidate (and worse in some cases) anyone with brown skin (and there are huge numbers in NYC). I'm sure there will be a few early am helicopter assault operations on various projects and in places like Corona, Queens along the lines of the one they did in Chicago last month when people, including little kids and the elderly, were dragged from their apartments in the middle of the night. He'll federalize the state National Guard too and send them in to supposedly fight crime under the guise of NYC being a lawless hellhole. Which it of course is not, but even if it was, that would be a policing issue.
Those ICE boys need the shite knocked out of them. Absolute cowards and thugs

Any truth in the posts online that the big drug men have put bountys on some of them? New York would be paying more into the pot than they take out I'd assume?

The Irish headquarters of the insurance company Allianz was vandalised in Dublin overnight.

A number of windows were broken and red graffiti sprayed at the office buildings at Elm Park in Dublin 4.

A pro-Palestinian group, Palestinian Action Éire, has claimed responsibility.

The group said it opposes the insurance company's alleged relationship with an Israeli weapon manufacturer.
Good.

Quote from: imtommygunn on November 02, 2025, 10:13:26 PMWhat is the dup game with this Israel visit ? They blatantly knew the furore it would create. Are they trying to bring the assembly down?

Judging by the increased number of councillors and mla's (of all parties) doing photo opps in constituency I'd say an election is on the cards next year.

The giveaway is the number of political reps showing up in Gaa club social media comments who couldn't find the pitch with a Sat nav.

The current crop of politicians playbook is to spend until the money runs out, refuse to make any tough decisions on anything and then have a phoney principled row/decision in order to pull the house down until someone writes a cheque and/or pressure gets too great and they go back in.

Rinse and repeat.

There will be no more repeats, if Stormont collapses it will not come back. Rachel Reeves will say that the budget will be the same as the North-East of England and she'll tell Benn to start talks about the right time to have a border poll. You have to wonder why the DUP want this.

+1

The DUP are chasing the hard liners as they see gaining the votes from the TUV as their way of maintaining their dominance within unionism, they care not one jot about the wider community, never have and never will.

They're dying out thankfully.

They're intermediate in Armagh- the intermediate winners go to Ulster Junior, the Senior winners (Middletown) go to Ulster Intermediate.
